Yep, now if Rafa and most Liverpool fans will get off the idea that we're just going to give him away because well it IS Liverpool, then maybe a deal will get done. Even Neill playing like a want-away is better than having no replacement and no money to buy a replacement.

I'd far rather sell him or swap him to West Ham for Konchesky, though. Doubt it would happen, but still...

Konchesky!?! Are you serious? A mon avis, he has to be the worst left-back I can think of in the league, apart from the obvious Traore.

What do you see in Konchesky that makes you think he would be of any worth to a team hoping to remain in the Premiership?

Two parts...

1) I'd have more faith in him than Gray or McEvely (although I think Jay has a future with us) at the moment. You really think he's THAT bad? Admittedly I haven't done any real scouting on him but the odd game I've seen of him seems to look a good enough player....

2) If Neill went to West Ham it would blow ten thousand holes in his want to move to a bigger club posturing

Can you believe that Rafa wants Neill PLUS 500k for Warnock? Looks like he's trying to low-ball us seriously thinking we wanna get rid of him at no cost. Now if we were talking Matteo, I'd think about paying someone to take him off our books...but not Neill.

Yeah, trust me, Konchesky really is THAT bad.

Warnock is not as old as Neill, so I guess that will be Rafa's way of thinking, or at least his excuse.

I didn't realize you were French. Where are you from? I am originally from Montreal...

No, sorry, I'm English. I studied a bit of French when I lived in Africa.

Sorry to mess with your head. I just do annoying things like that, quelquefois.

Montreal? Rufus Wainwright is God. Seriously. You have no idea what a talent your city keeps.

I hate to quote myself but consider Neill's posturing as debunked. I'm glad he's gone and I'm now secretly hoping WestHam gets relegated just to show the dude what he's missing when he's in the Championship and not in the Premiership.

Not sour grapes, just hoping for some poetic justice...or irony...either one will do for me...

BBC 94.9 just reported that the deal to West Ham is done.

I think sour grapes taste better than ripe ones.
