if he had hopes of makin it in europe then probably not the best place to go
however, if he has a carrear like el Cabezon Reynoso then he should be happy, since he isnt anywhere as talented
lets hope he goes better than Pincel Garcia

I think it will be a dead end for him...Cruz Azul plays a good season then dies in the liguilla.
THey dont play any international tournaments. So basically Vilchez just traded in his Libertadores games for more money.

a good move offc urse he once layed for olimpo as a left back, didnt do bad, but coach didnt want him anymore, then came to SC and played a year, clausura 05, and all 06, so now CRUZ AZUL is a good team, along with AMERICA, TOLUCA the most competitve teams in mexico
he will play along carmona, and he has two position left backl, and full back, i havent seen it so much, so i dont know if he can turn into a libero, which will do really nice, but he will have to compete with huiqui of CRUZ AZUL, a good team offcourse, even thoguh they lost they still have chances for LIBERTADORES, and could be playing either AL or SC in a couple of weeks

He actually did good for Olimpo but after his first season he wanted a higher salary already, Olimpo said no so he went to SC.

This is good for him, he's really not capable of doing any better than Argentina and/or Mejico. He's not getting any younger either, so this experience abroad would him.. not to mention, help his wallet also.
Also, watching some highlights from their Interliga, I noticed that Cruz Azul is in desperate need of a defender. So let's hope he makes an impact there like "Cabezon" Reynoso did.

he did turn that offer down from a Polish club, because in an interveiw he gave...Mexico is a very competitve league...but I think he just went because he got more money.
Cruz Azul also got Jared Borghetti...but Carmona hasnt been the same after he has come back from from that year long steroid suspension....Huiqui sucks.

So you think he will have no problem making the starting line-up?
Let's hope he impresses like in his good ol days at AL.

God bless Vilchez. :D
For real, he's gonna have a hard time. Not as good as Reynoso. He's gonna have to be centered and really set his mind to it.

he will win the central back position, huiqui isa the mexican materazzi, so vilchez will play frequently

I assume he is going to start...The defensive is weak at CA
Ever since Dennis Caniza left for Atlas.
I look at it this way...I'm hoping the best, if Paraguay made the WC and one of their back line plays in Mexico...why not Peru.

i would prefer if he went to a mid-table club in argentina, but cruz azul is a better offer than Poland IMO, like someone said he is not getting any younger, of course it's a fact that if even if he succeeds in Mexico he will probably never go to Europe. still in regards to the offers he received, a good choice.

He is allowed to play in the Inter-Liga. However whether Mizarahi (sp?) takes him into consideration is another story.
