I'll take WHU over Wigan. Four points is a lot of points for a head start on a team like West Ham.

hmm.. im unsure about wigan or sheffield.. the reason that i dont pick west ham is because i think they money to spend in the transfer window and although thats no guarantee of success, i can see them buying their way out of relegation. But their 6-0 loss to Reading the other day was distraught and the worst ive seen a premiership team play since probably sunderland..

I think Watford and Charlton are doomed to regulation. Watford can't score and Charlton can't stop anyone from scoring. The last spot is to close to call in my opinion. West Ham, Wigan or Sheff Utd could all go down. Like Skywalker said, WHU has the best chance to get out of regulation simply because they have money to spend.

I kinda feel that West Ham is so broken that throwing some new bodies at it won't fix it.
They tried throwing a new manager at the problem and that lasted about two games.
Reo-Coker's body language when he scored (against Man U?) tells it all. Centre-midfield is so important to a team, and if it's not performing then the rest of the team struggles.
That has been Boro's main problem this season - Boateng hasn't been the destroyer that he's been for 2-3 years there. If you cede the middle of the pitch then you're not left with much.

"I kinda feel that West Ham is so broken that throwing some new bodies at it won't fix it."
That quote's classic..
i agree with you.. centre midfield is key.. but (and i know im being stubborn here ) i feel that WHU will still just manage to stay on top just barely...
yeah boateng has been way below par this season...
Phil, I think boro would really benefit from say a kevin nolan or a mascherano or even a barry ferguson..
i think southgate should try and get that young kid denilson from arsenal on loan.. think it would benefit boro and arsenal..
what do u think??

Any of those first lot would be nice (unless Mascerano wasn't allowed to play...)
We've got an 'up and comer' in the shape of Cattermole. He could either become one of the dominant centre-midfielders of the next 10 years...or become a League One kicker. He needs to control his agression (i.e. make tactical fouls rather than pick up randon bookings) and improve his delivery (we play in red, btw, Lee). If he can manage that, he'll be sorted.

cattermole is just a brilliant guy.. i mean im a gunners fan n i wish we cud hav him.. in fact sven erikkson even told that he has a gr8 future ahead so hes really tipped for greatness.. and the kid has a head on his shoulders.. i mean i remember watching this game against fulham where he was a captain n then colin cooper came on and without any instruction gave cooper the armband.. i mean how many young players like that r there in england.. n i hate to admit it but boro r a vast underrated site.. ive heard people speaking bout how boro cud get relegated this season and what not but im tellin u people.. get a grip on urselves.. this is a very good team.. they were UEFA cup finalists.. they came back from 3-0 down twice..
i really feel that with their squad boro have to challenge for palces 5th-8th and shud b up there with the likes of spurs, pompey, bolton, newcastle and everton.
PS: i heard that mark viduka wants to go to Italy, Boro have to ensure that he stays; hes been a great player and i absolutely adore mark after that goal against Chelsea this season.

SheffU, 'Boro, Watford (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showpost.php?p=9349043&postcount=30) before the season. For some reason I thought I had Wigan in there instead of Middlesbrough. Can't see any reason to change my mind, yet. We'll see after the transfer window closes what teams look ready to move.
Thx,
Jay!
