I thought you meant the line generally, not specifically the black/red colourway.

Nike Vapor Grips and Tiempos are a quality glove. That's all Spines are pretty much worthless in my opinion and there is no substitute for good fundamentals and technique.

notice how Old US Keeper seems to bash the big 3, Adi, Nike and Puma...........let me guess............ is it because they will not sell you product???????????????????????

No, it's because specialists who make products only for goalkeepers are better than big corporations who mass produce poor-quality gloves. Perhaps don't be such an idiot the next time you post?

To lacy17,
Where in what you quoted me did I 'bash' the Big 3? The only brand I have bashed is adidas, and to a lesser extent Nike. I have NEVER bashed Puma, as I think their glove line is very good.
To quote from my post #19 in this thread:
"My beef with adidas is that their pro endorsees do not wear what adidas markets to the retail public, unlike Sells, Selsport, Sondico, etc where most of the time their endorsees wear what we can get at retail. Sure, some of them still have SMUs, but they are few & far between. I would have more respect for adidas gloves if this was addressed. Nike 4mm Contact Foam is outstanding, but I still am not sure if they truly care about keepers, or just market based on gimmick. They need to start making half sizes to show commitment, IMHO."
That quote was 11 months ago. If you understand basic English you should be able to comprehend in black & white my beef with adidas. I did not state a beef with Nike, only slight criticism to improve.
I have openly said that some brands will not sell to me UNTIL I open a brick & mortar store (which is in the works). What I don't think is fair is that they will openly state that Eurosport is an exception to their policy of only selling to brick & mortar stores, which I feel is unfair trade practices. If they will sell to one online store, why not others? There does not seem to be this restriction with European online goalkeeper stores.
I am well respected in the goalkeeping community, have loyal customers & my business continues to grow without adidas or Nike. Will I carry these two lines someday? Maybe, maybe not. Am I worried? Not really.
I do have to wonder if you bashed me on this forum a year later because you work for adidas, or maybe are a nervous competitor that might be losing marketshare?

i too am 100% with ousk because he is a wonderfull tradesman, and i have delt with him many times, and yes adidasand nike do need to commit to the standard everyday GK's like you and me and they should indeed improve their quality , puma on the other hand has done very well in the last 2years or so because their products have been getting better and better and i cant wait to see whats in the future.

to lacy17...Are you suggesting it is a good thing that the big three chose to ignore Grass Roots companies by NOT selling product to the smaller shops? It seems such an arrogant policy to me, and I can not imagine anyone who does not work for the big three, could justify it (even some folks who do work for adidas, puma and nike see the policy as unjust and silly).
The reason Goalkeepers buy from places like betweenthesticks.com is because they know they can get a good product, at a fair price, regardless if it has a silly adidas or nike logo slapped on it. Fingersaves are a joke, as is most of the others in the adidas line (with the exception of Fingertips and Response). Nike has made massive strides, but I think we can all still agree that a company like Sells, Selsport, Uhlsport etc, who make there living off GK products alone, will do the necessary testing, and quality control to ensure their product is better than a company who makes GK equipment as an after thought. Do I own Nike and Adidas products, of course, do I look to them as my first choice now, not on your life.

Quite a few of the goalies that I train swear by the new SuperGoalie FX's with replaceable finger protectors. Apparently awesome grip, and very affordable. I got a pair as well and they do very well for me in training.

Those are the nike Futsal gloves. I do not thing they offer them in the US, though I have seen them on ebay. That would probably be your best bet (other than ordering from overseas).
