It would be nice to have an AC Milan-Real Madrid Final.

-- the #1 all-time winner vs the #2 all-time winner.
-- all of the FIFA World Player of the Year since 1996 will be present.

yeah that would be the best final out of the remaining teams...
worst scenario would be inter vs. juve...unless you're a serie A fan.

I think I'd just bury my head in my pillow and go to sleep if it were Inter vs. Juve.

Inter vs Real would be interesting in one way - Ronaldo vs his old team.

Agree with you.

But, think of the sub-plots of Real - Inter...Ronaldo, Cuper, Moriatti. That would get more hype.

After Toldo's display vs. Valencia, seeing a one man show (well, you know what I mean) of him vs. Real's scoring arsenal would be a treat. I thought Barthez let in two soft goals (Figo's and Ronaldo's first last night) that would have meant the difference for Man U.

Either way, no one really seems to be talking much about Juve's chances. Real may be looking good right now, but their defense is porous and could be taken advantage of by an organized team like Juve. I still think Real will go through, but I hope they aren't buying their own hype and booking their tickets to Old Trafford just yet.

My dream final would be Real vs. Man, Arse, Ajax or Bayern with Pierluigi in the middle. :D

If Toldo plays like that the rest of the way...not even Milan AND Real Madrid can beat Inter!! (Inter's chances are good since they want to seek revenge on two derby losses this season...i hate to say it, but Milan will need to play better to beat the nerazzurri)

In the other semifinal, Juventus has a very good chance of beating Real Madrid, simply because their defense is 10 TIMES better than Manure's...there's no way Real would get the same amount of space to operate that Manure gave in both quaterfinal games...

I want a Real Madrid - AC Milan final...but with the way the ball is bouncing for Juve and Inter... it wouldn't surprise me if we see that final instead...another Italian derby in the works.

the dream CL game was already played in the 2nd leg of Ajax/Milan. I would like to see Milan play Real, but I will be happy no matter what as long as Real doesn't win.
Milan is playing WAY below their potential right now, Inter are playing around their potential, but who will be up top now that Vieri is up top? Is Kallon injured? Martins looked good. Maybe Recoba?
Juve hasn't seemed consistent to me. They can win though.

Juve has actually been the most consistent Serie A team all season. They have had a few bumps along the way in the CL (3-0 at home comes to mind), but have only 3 losses in Serie A all year and are 6 points clear of Inter (9 ahead of Milan) with 5 matches to play. They will be hampered greatly, however, by the losses of Davids, Tacchinardi and Montero in the first leg. And they really need Trezeguet to get healthy.

Milan looked brilliant at the beginning and have faltered lately. Inter has never quite hit their stride ALL season. As a Serie A fan, I'm frankly amazed that one of those two will be playing for the European championship.

.

Man U werent at their best defensively in the real madrid games...but I would hardly say that they had a defence 10 times worse than juve's.
What happened when juve and man U came head to head?? man u won home and away ...With a 3 - 0 win in Turin (which featured some disasterous juve defending).

They had their backs to the wall against barca and stopped them..But have they showed this kind of defensive form in the other games?? no ,no I dont think so.

Both real madrid and man U are open attacking sides...They always give the oppostion a chance to score.

I think Real are going to be a standard above any of the opposing teams.
The Italians only chance is "maybe" if Real severely underate them.

Well, Real certainly must be favored based on their brilliant current form, pedigree, being the holders, etc etc. But I have to remind you of this scoreline from last fall: Real Madrid 0, AS Roma 1.

I guess, if nothing else, this should prevent them from underestimating the remaining Italian teams, all of whom are better than Roma this season.

Well, the Roma game was earlier in the season. Real Madrid did not come together until in the last few months. They did not play as a unit. An upset is still possible. Juventus is still the best three team in Europe, but it would be hard to stop Real Madrid with Davids,Tacchinardi and Montero missing in the 1st leg.

How about the sub-plot of Clarence Seedorf vs Ronaldo??? It will be liked an old MGM movie where the lover fights a duel with the husband to defend his honor and whomever wins will have her. :)

Seedorf is out for the season.

But nevertheless I want to see AC Milan - Madrid. It is the only game that could guarantee some interesting offense.

I mean, Redondo might play vs. Madrid. Doesn't that count? Lol.
