Looks like we'll name an unchanged side again.

This is always a difficult game but I think we're in a great position to get something out of it. Anelka will be looking forward to continuing to score (against his old clubs) so I do expect him to score.

I'll take a draw but we are capable of winning so I'll be disappointed if we don't play well.

This game will be a good test to see if we really have what it takes to get a Champions league spot.

Indeed. I think the level of the performance and not so much the result is the biggest indicator. Anfield is a tough, tough place to play.

Doesnt sound to good so far, i really hope we can nick this one Benitez is just a moaning idiot, noticed his dribble yet again in the papers this morning, nothing new same as when they came to us just hope for the same result.

Currently 0-3. We were defending well but clearly looked tired as the game went on. It started with players not supporting Anelka at the end of the first half and culminated in our defence standing around while Liverpool attacked. They're worthy of their lead as we've done sod all in this game.

Faye was lucky to remain on the pitch too, if it had only been 1-0 he would have gone.

We should rest the first team over the FA cup weekend.

Oooh Jussi saves from Crouch and stops it being 4-0. Jussi's easily the best keeper in the Prem and the best player at Bolton.

FT 0-3

They looked tired, very tired but I wonder about our lack of ambition early on. Can't complain about the scoreline, we were lucky to get nil.

I thought we played well for the first hour, then a couple of defensive blunders and the scoreline looks like we took a hammering.

It is me or did all their goals come through Gardner? I think it was a mistake rushing him back for a game like this. Ben Haim would have stopped all three of those goals.

Campo is suspended for the Doncaster game anyways so I'm thinking Tal will definitely get the start. I'm curious to see Vaz Te work for an entire game. The major question is, do you give Jussi a break to make Al Habsi happy?

I think it's time Jussi takes a game off and gives Walker or Al Habsi a start. It shouldn't matter though because we should be able to beat an L1 team with or without our #1 goalie.

Oh definitely. I'd rather start Al Habsi because he's yet to make his Bolton debut and because he has more upside than the much older Ian Walker. Maybe we could loan Walker out to Sheffield U for a month or so.

I got to watch the highlights only, Gardner should be mortified at what happened with the third goal. But overall judging by what I got to see we were less prepared for the game. Liverpool were able to maintain distance and rythym for the first two goals, it was the kind of football you hate to be on the recieving end of.

Ok now the question that I know and regret will get on your nerves: How well or poorly did Teimourian play in the last minutes when he was subbed on, was his performance positive? On the BBC live report he is only mentioned when he is subbed in and when he clears a cross, so it seems he didn't really do anything but I could be wrong. I assure you the young Iranian national is not my reason for supporting Bolton but I am highly interested in his progress as well. thx

I didn't really notice much from Teimourian but he did appear late in the game. Hopefully he'll get a chance against Doncaster on saturday.

Gardner did appear somewhat rusty, I think we really need to sign a left back in this transfer window.

I'd play Al Habsi, Gardner, Teimourian, Vaz Te, Stelios, Smith and other players who are on the fringes of the first team.

I'd rest the entire first team except Anelka, let him bang a few goals in. And Hunt, because Doncaster is about his level.

Oh and Gardner of course so he can get back to form as quickly as possible.
