Hey think about it, he obviously likes usa players,,,his fulham side you can almost say resembles the usa, there players are not the best in world, but he continues to do a great job every year, very steady and on occasion producing great results,,,i think thats what we(usa) needs someone that believes in our players and nows how to get the best out of what we have

does anyone agree or disagree,,,,,i say yes to chris coleman

There is a lot to be said for guys like Coleman who are able to get a less talented team to overachieve. Steve Coppell is another one along the same lines. Anyone know if either of them speaks Spanish?

well mcbride didn't show well in june...

and bocanegra's lets dump it blindly into the box nearing half against ghana was disturbing....

i'd suspect gulati gives bradley every chance, unless a BIG name, with pedigree emerges...

i still think it's all about wc finals 2010, the next coach maxing american ability, and tactically placing usa in a position to succeed...

big name guy with lots of finals experience doesn't have to learn what it takes at that level...

finding some one with that resume, who agrees to manage usmnt, now that's quite a search

Colemans seeming openness to employing American players is based on a desire to stay competitive in a big money driven league. Relative to other nations players, USA players are way undervalued......17m pounds for Michael Carrick...??....I believe Coleman knows that the USA is a POTENTIAL gold mine of cheap talent and he intends to mine it for as long as he can. Chances are he has no interest in leaving England or becoming coach of the USA.

We could do a hell of a lot worse, I know we're all psyched about the result against Chelsea, but he's out there.

None, we just want all of our young players to grow up and be Brian McBrides. Honestly. He gives 110%, he is a total team player (not selfish at all), he risks life and limb for his team (as evidenced by all of the knots on his head), and he really maximizes his potential/talent.

So we want him to coach to inspire all the young soccer players of the world to be just like him.

He's Welsh and I'd see him coaching their team first.

At least we can have confidence the beer will be excellent ;)

He'll do more good for the USA staying at Fulham and continuing to buy our players and play them in the EPL.
