I had heard this rumor. This sucks! I missed out on the Cup last year... :(
Well at least there are two teams that the Battery will destroy. Houston could be tough but NY and Toronto are cannon fodder!

At least for this year's CCC - Houston may actually be arsed to wear their own uniforms - last year they were the "generic Adidas blue" team :)
Too bad, this is one less week-long vacation in a damned beautiful place in '07.

I haven't been back to Charleston since we moved away in May '02...was sorta hoping I'd make the CCC this spring. :( Fun city to visit, great stadium to boot.

At the Pourhouse a few weeks ago, John Wilson said they'd be going to Puerto Rico and/or another spot in the Carribbean.

One word.........flockaduck
Kicking off the season with the CCC and DCU fans has become a hallowed tradition, who approved this change? This can only mean that the USOC gods have conspired to match us up in a meaningful match in 2007. Up from the ashes, the Coffee Pot Cup will be chilled again...............

Don't you mean, you were wanting to drive down and have them buy you a coffee pot full of beer?

Sigh...
Oh well, having DC Untied play nearby Savannah could not last forever, but hopefully the tradition will return.
Good luck to the Battery, make those suckers look bad.

You should still go, if only to root against NY. Wear black and chant "DC United" through the game; past experience indicates that this so unnerves the NY players that they completely fall apart.

Plus I am betting that I can hang out + cheer with the Battery supporters, they seemed like a cool lot.
I want those other team's players and fans to know that the Barra is everywhere, and that there is no escaping us. :D
