I thought this thread had potential heh ;)
That spectator should be given a contract! I think Eintracht Braunschweig could use a player like him :D

It's amazing that Germany's great hope is beaten by an old man wearing dress shoes and tied with an overweight middle-aged nerd.

Not his cup of tea. I once watched Lahm, Podolski and Schweinsteiger taking part in some crazy shooting exercize for Japanese TV and Schweinsteiger always went on: "And YOU want to be a forward?"

Haha I was going to post those japanese videos.
Near the end, the announcer starts groping Poldi's leg and he clearly gets uncomfortable.

It's kind of sad to see that even today at Franz' advanced age, his techniques are better than that of a modern day 'Superstar'. Lucas really has got that weird lefty thing going. :D

At least Poldi scored twice. Remember Pelé failed to score in six tries when he was in the show in the 70s.

It's the difference between an all-time great and a very good young player. In exercises like this, it all comes down to basic technical abilities, one's age doesn't matter. Beckenbauer has appeared a couple of times in that show in the last two years, and each time he was pitted against a young player of today.
The outcome is always the same: Der Kaiser owns them all. :D

So you would bench Klose for a guy who played over 10 hours for Germany without scoring a single goal (90'-92' and 96'-97')?
Regarding Podolski just give him a few more years. As a striker doing too much sophisticated stuff with the Ball only slows you down anyway. ;)

oh, you misunderstood me. Maybe I´m still drunk from christmas parties. I only tried to say that I would love to see "Kaiser" again. Well it is no realistic because Kaiser is old. I would not compare Podolski with Kaiser. Kaiser was much better. Regarding Klose he is my favorite german players and I like him. He is our best striker. Surely better then Podolski. But Podolski has also big future. He will develop in similar player like Klose. So no please, Klose does not belong on the bench. He is our best!.
