Southampton travels to Hillsborough tomorrow. I hope they can get a win. They should be able to, at least on paper.

After 30 minutes Saints are up 2-1 over Wednesday. Goals from Rasiak on the 14' and Jones off a corner on the 26' which was unfortunately followed by a Wednesday goal after just 60 seconds to make it Wednesday 1 Saints 2.

Bale with a yellow on the 29' minute. The ref and his linemen seem to be having a bit of a difficult day so far according to the Wednesday announcers.

Wednesday have really taken over the match since the Saints scored their second goal. If Saints can withstand this pressure for a little longer and sneak out another goal in the half, I think things will start to look good for us. By the way, Wednesday have ex-Saint Yoann Folly in its starting XI as well as the American Frankie Simek.

Wednesday 1 Saints 2 HT

Hopefully Saints can regain control of the match in the second half and get another goal or two. If that can happen then things will start to look good for the red and white. COYR :)

YYYYYYYYEEEEEEESSSSSSSS!!!!!

Wright picked the pocket of the Wednesday player and played it out wide to Rasiak who crossed it into the middle for BWP who calmly put it into the back of the net after just two minutes of coming into the match.

Wednesday 1 Saints 3 :)

Bit late now, but BWP on for Jones at halftime. :)

Claus also came off for some reason at halftime and was replaced by Viafara. Nice to see Jhon coming in again, but I have no idea why Claus came off. Hopefully it is not an injury.

Pele now slides back to CB while Viafara comes into the middle of the midfield.

Wednesday has a substitution as Folly is coming off for Andrews on the 58' minute.

NNNNNOOOOOOO!!!!

Whelen with an absolute wonder goal from out of nowhere. It was a full left-footed volley from 22 yards out. This goal was completely against the run of play. Yet again, Saints have allowed another long distance goal for the third straight match. :(

Wednesday 2 Saints 3 on the 70' minute

Bougherra with a bicycle kick that Davis did well to save. I have no idea what is going on, but Wednesday have finally decided that they want to play the second half.

Finally Saints are showing a bit of life again as BWP with a chance on net, but he fires it over the crossbar.

I've been lazily laying down and listening to the match. This got me up. Come on Saints!

BWP has had several chances in the past few minutes for Saints, but has not done well with any of them. Oh well, at least he scored on his first chance. ;)

What a complete debacle and waste of time. There is no way Wednesday should have gotten a point from that horrible second half of theirs. But this is Southampton we are talking about. You have your opponent on the sword, but you can't finish them off. Typical!!

It all started with yet another long range goal which is the third straight match in which Saints have allowed that to happen. BWP never finished his chances except for his first one. And God knows what happened with the rest of the squad. I would love to know who was marking Crossley. Losing Claus at halftime to a possible knock certainly did not help matters for us.
