Paul Scholes is better than both of them, but that's not the point here. And I agree, this debate is boring. We've done it a million times and all agreed Lampard is a fat ******** who is to fluky deflections what Rooney is to geriatric prostitutes.

I think people only say Lampard because he scores alot of goals and his name is heard alot more then Gerrards. But Stevie Gerrard also gets his fair share of goals in and is a very good leader at Liverpool. But i think the defensive game of gerrard as well as his attacking style would give him the edge over lampard. You rarely see lampard chasing down players in his defensive half!

My vote is for Gerrard. While I think Lampard is a good player, I still think he is a bit overhyped.

Seriously the goal scoring element is massively in Frank's favour. It can't even be argued really.

No doubt people will spin the above in whatever way they wish or try to pick holes to favour one player or another. I personally rate Gerrard higher because I think he is a better overall player. When you consider the supporting cast each had, the position each played, add a hint of deflection to the mix and then factor in the following when comparing goals scored:
Lampard 7 - 9 Gerrard (minus CLQ, international friendlies, penalties and bottom 10)
Then I side with Gerrard. Sad and now very tired bastard signing out...
