Neither have been much cop for England in the last couple of years.
Thank you!! They're both not who everyone thinks they are. In my opinion they're both out right rubbish I'd rather take a reserve player over those two. Gerrard is off balance every second I look at him and Lampard just doesn't do anything spectacular. English should stop lookin at these two and focus on the youth. There's a reason why internationally England does so bad and it all boils down to the youth they produce.

AGREED!!! Every sensible arguement that could be made in either's favor was accomplished in the first 100-125 posts. After that it's all been a rehash. Close it!

I don't get where people get this idea that Gerrard is some kind of world-beater in an England shirt.... ya know, apart from The Sun.

Yes because God knows The S*n are famed for their ringing endorsement of Liverpool players...
Gerrard may not have always reproduced his club form for country, but to be fair, he was our top goal scorer in the World Cup and was man of the match in 2 of our last 3 internationals, single handedly rescuing the team against Andorra (I know they're shit but no one else looked like doing anything against them) and putting the shackles on the Brazil attack.
Considering he's spent the majority of his international career being shifted around to make room for Lampard (who is incapable of playing any other role), he's not done too badly.
