Wasn't there supposed to be a player acquisition announcement this week? Or is that process on hold now?

Hey guys, I'm an intern here at MLS headquarters, and while I was on the can I heard two high-level executives saying that Jose Mourinho to DC was a done deal!

Book 'em for just uttering such a vile notion!

:D

and speaking of jackasses, it may be a little inconvenient truth, but those poor little guys with the dinner jackets might be having a tough time soon enough

Chris Henderson retired. Not a rumor, but doesn't deserve its own thread unless it's in Alumni and that would be pushing it ;)
I always liked him, wish he'd have stayed at United more than the 5 milliseconds he belonged to us :)
Good Seattle-area boy.
I think I would pay him out of my own pocket to teach Josh Gros some crossing techniques, he was a good one.

Well we do have a coaching vacancy I believe. Somebody could get on the phone about it. He seems like he's a "coaching" sorta player to me.

Since there was some (pie in the sky) speculation about Martin Palermo, I talked to our driver from the airport today (arrived in Buenos Aires this morning), who was a bostero. Apparently the new director tecnico for Boca already announced his intention to keep Palermo around.

This is awsome news judging that we have now decimated half of our team.

I work as an intern for MLS and I was told "confidentially" that DCU is going to trade Adu and Esky for cash. I think someone is pulling my leg.

He's going to be an assistant at KC, according to Ives Galarcep (http://njmg.typepad.com/sbi/2006/12/a_busy_day_on_t.html).
