Enjoy the time spent over there.

Feel free to stay longer and watch all the Euro soccer you want.

...and don't pretend to like US soccer when they win the Confederations Cup.

Except, of course, for those who complain about the announcers and the quality MLS Wrap, but what have the Romans ever done for us?

I like my wife but that doesn't mean I am hpappy with her all the time.

You can be happy with FSW and still complain about the overall poor quality of MLS Wrap.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean it that way. You're usually constructive and objective with your critiques, so what I said wasn't directed at you, though it was in response to your post.

Don't you have some writing to do? Northside has already turned in his homework assignment.

Can't do that sort of stuff at the office. Too many distractions.

and don't pretend that Confederations Cup even closely resembles an important soccer tournament. I love our country's team, but zzzzzzzzzzzz.

Okay, okay...here's my take. I don't think FSW gets rated by Nielsen, so all of this talk about numbers is pure speculation. In fact, I just looked it up and they don't get rated. What I would loved FSW to do would be to junk as much of the paid programming as possible and use the 24 hours a day to show as much football as possible. Which means MSL, Prem, La Liga, Serie A. Make the right rights deals and put on games. Truct me, FSW has been to see the advertisers listed above, and the distribution is the thing holding them back.

Yeah, but I bet that paid programming makes it possible for them to show those games we like to see.

One note for the Eurosnobs: Very few European games are being played at 7:30 p.m. Eastern time, and FSW is quite good at rebroadcasting the games throughout the week.

Especially if you take a look at the commercials that are running during some programming (especially MLS Wrap) - it's not like they're selling a ton of that when they're running the New Soccer Nation spot twice in a break.
