Some people have thier "other fave clubs listed" in their profiles, but just for fun.....
What's your other favorite club (clubs) and why?
(Revs better be everyone's #1)
for me:
revs is my number 1 (everything is a distant second, but)
porto (because I married a portista and if I didn't follow them, I'd be killed:D )
parma (no idea why, I just started following them back around 92)
epl is tougher, I have no real affiliation for any team. I adopted chelsea becuase that is the neighborhood I lived in back in semester over there (and fulham was beyond shit then), but in actuality, I root for any team that has got some americans on it or is a good solid underdog (I always pick a promoted team to root for-this year it's reading) and plymouth argyle because I have some family ties to it. (don't like- liverpuddle, ManUre, ARSEnal)
other leagues, no preference at all (just ones I really don't like)
how about the rest of you?

New England Revolution: Because they're my local club; end of story.... they're the club I've grown with, they're the club that's broken my heart, and they're the club I can't not support no matter what happens.
Aalesunds FK (http://www.aafk.no): Because ex-Rev Adin Brown plays for them, they have tremendous support for a smaller club, and their supporters probably aren't far removed from the likes of the Midnight Riders (even if they're over in Norway). Tango baby!
Newcastle United: Because I was initially impressed by their cast of characters from Super Mac to Peter Beardsley, loved their support, and I'm a sucker for lost causes ;-)

New England Revolution
They are my team, my "til I die" club. When I first got into futbol, I went to a NE v CLB game that ended in a 2-1 win us and a red card for Columbus, it was really exciting. Ever since then I've just gotten more and more passionate about the team......wait a minute, now that I think about it, my heart problems started occuring around the time I got into the team:p
fyi, it's nothing sever with my heart, I just know that I cant push myself too hard, big body, need to pump a lot of blood.
Tottenham Hotspur FC
When I first got into the game it was during the 2002 World Cup. I remember watching Robbie Keane and just falling in love, he was and is my favorite player (with Shalrie on his heels). So naturally I pledged my alliegiance to THFC. They replace the Revs during the offseason.
AC Milan
Can't really say how I got into 'em, I believe it was during the Juve/Milan CL final a while back. I've just fallen in love with the passionate fans and the history behind the team. I went to that Chelsea v Milan game a while back all clad in red and black. They are my team in the CL.
I probably would break it down like this

THFC 15
ACM 10

1 Revs, of course. Original season ticket holder and an active participant in the old Revs email list back in the day, along with several other posters hereabouts. How's this for 'back in my day, sonny'? I actually remember posting to that list once about how happy I was that we got John Kerr!
2 Man City - Somehow the fact that they opened a season with nine losses and a draw right around the time I was starting to seriously pay attention to soccer in '95 was enough to suck me in.
3 Fiorentina - I studied Italian for several years in the 90s and 'practised' by reading La Gazzetta dello Sport and a couple of Italian soccer magazines and by watching games on RAI International on Sundays. I eventually concluded that Gabriel Batistuta was my favorite player in all of Serie, and when he left I stayed.
4 Queen of the South - The name is part of it, as is the fact that they are neither part of the Old Firm nor regularly trounced by same.

Revs are #1 of course
The US WNT takes 2nd
Everton are my "new" team this year initially because of Tim Howard
Like PBI I will root for any team I know has a USA player on it

1. Revs, obviously. Became hooked on the sport because of WC 94, went to the home opener against DC in 96, and have been going back ever since (when I have the weekends free).
2. Inter Milan. My reasons are going to sound lame, but I have been following the team for a while now, so how I got started shouldn't matter. My sisters (also soccer fans) and I picked our favorite Serie A team (my family's Italian). My oldest sister got Juve, my next oldest sister got AC Milan, and so I picked the best team left over. :) And, of course, they haven't won a scudetto since.
3. Liverpool. This time, I decided to actually join my sister in rooting a team. This was in the final years of Rush and McManaman (well, before he left for Real) and the beginning of the Fowler and Owen years, so I got interested in them pretty quickly. Not a big fan of Benitez, but at least they won a couple of big trophies recently.
4. Celtic. I'm half-Irish (cue the chant!)
I also enjoy watching Fulham games lately. They're not great, but they play hard, and I've always admired McHead (except when he was scoring against us). Should be interesting to see Dempsey play at Craven Cottage. Liverpool is still my team, but I also like to see FFC do well.

Besides the Revs:
Blackburn Rovers -- because as a complete neophyte in 2002, guess which player caught my eye on the late night Univision broadcasts
Aalesund -- see Magpie's answer

Revs because my dad started bringing me to one or two games a summer whenever the Connecticut Wolves were not at home for the treat of seeing Major League Soccer, then it became a little more than one or two games, then in 2005 I got my own season ticket
Liverpool 1998, Michael Owen in the World Cup amazed me and I began following the team he was on. Loved Fowler even more and it evolved from there. Anyone that says "so does that mean you liked Madrid when he went there and now Newcastle" is an idiot. Saw them beat Celtic 5-1 in Hartford and beat Roma 2-1 in Giants Stadium back in 2004 and this past April I toured Anfield, went through the museum and had a pint at the Albert (next door) on the day I flew in and two days later saw them beat Blackburn 1-0 at Ewood Park
Bradford City In the summer of 2005 someone from there showed up to Gillette and became a good friend of mine...this past April I stayed with his family and saw them beat Doncaster at home 2-1. For what it's worth he joined us on the Columbus away trip in September as well...

Revs
Local team, but sometimes they really test their fans
England
Self explanatory!!
Yes, Revs #1.
West brom #2. Up the Baggies! Frustrate the hell out of me, (I guess I am drawn to that!). Began following about 10 years ago when I needed a team while Revs were vacationing. Love to "boing" when I get the chance!

Revs: New England blood. The only team worth going to jail for. I put all five new england teams above all other teams anywhere. The B's are pushing me because new hockey makes me puke, but they are still there.
Second Tier
Rangers: An exchange student got me going around '91. A wild group of Scots in Palma rekindled my interest in '99 (also when Reyna joined). Finding out one side of a two-sided political stuggle had been cleaverly concealed from us sealed the deal. I resent things like that. I took to the GOP for a similar reason when I made a similar discovery at age 12 (I'm not saying one side has higher ground over there, btw). This was the first season I didn't have to wait to download the games to follow them. They are the club that's most important to me in europe.
Man U: First year I had weekly access to full EPL games, after returning from sea duty, I watched the Man U replays on the YES network. The pace at which they moved the ball up the pitch was remarkable. If Howard wasn't in the net and Arsenal didn't provide a superior villian that year, they might not be my team right now. They chose me, not the other way around.
Third Tier
Olympique de Marseille: I caught a game at the Stade Vélodrome in 2002. A friend from Alabama and I were watching a cup match that wednesday, the pub owner thought it was interesting we were getting into it, and offered to take us to the match on saturday. Had a great time. Learned some great things to call PSG supporters. I'm pissed FSC doesn't show that league anymore, especially since Cisse's coming back and it's my only chance to see him with Ribery.
River Plate: If you love the argentine league like I do, why would you root for kick and chase english wannabe's like boca jr's? Don't give me that crap about the aristocracy. Their ultras are as bad as they come.
Anyone who's challenging the spanish champions: I hate Barca and Madrid when they get too big for their britches.
Napoli: used to watch them on RAI on sundays, especially when they had Maradona. They seem destined for promotion to Serie A only a few years after beginning to recover from financial ruin.

1. Revolution. The local team, great group of supporters, and always have a blast with the fans and enjoying the team.
2. Celtic. Partially from my irish heritage (still looking for Glasgow on a map). Several of my friends were fans, and I got hooked through them.
3. Leeds. Played as them in a couple of seasons in Fifa 2002, I was able to win the champions league and not go broke. In 2004, their first season down I was at the Penn State-University Park campus, which has an exchange program with the University of Leeds. Several of the students from there who I interacted with were fans, so I started to like the team. And, like PSU football, I enjoy a team working towards reclaiming glory.
4. Brondby, team in Copenhagen. During Christmas break 2001 I went on a Scouting exchange program to Denmark. The scout I had a "home stay" with was a fan, and lived by the stadium. Bought a shirt, kinda followed the team, but now I want to try to make it to a game, and I somewhat follow them, as best that I can.
5. I follow Manchester City a little bit, since Claudio Reyna was my favorite player on the National team. I even have his shirt, which I liked to wear at parties at school, since it brought the soccer fans out of the woodwork. I don't follow them as much now.
6. FC Kaiserslautern. My aunt grew up there, thanks to the U.S. Army contractors. She went back in 2005, and got me a shirt. Nice city, hope to go back soon.
7. FC United of Manchester. Their performance and support is a display of what fans can do to support their passion and their sport.

It goes without saying that REVS ARE MY TEAM. Period. End of conversation. All other teams are just distractions to keep me occupied when there's no Revs games. That being said...
Benfica. My great grandmother and grandmother used pray the rosary during Benfica games on the radio back in the 40s and 50s. If Benfica was losing, they'd go in another room and pray harder for them to win. So given that history, and the fact that my grandparents are one important reason why I follow the game today, I feel honored to keep the tradition going.
Chelsea. Mostly, because they came to the States this year for the MLS All-Star game, and with this being my first year as a full-fledged soccer nut, I kinda leaned toward them in terms of EPL teams. Plus Jose Mourinho coaches them.
...and if you couldn't tell from these picks that I'm Portguese, you're an idiot.:p

THE BIG ONES....
01.) Revs
Yes, Revs are #1. First team I ever had seasons' tickets to, first supporters' group joined, first game attended, and all of that. My family goes back in the area to the turn of the century so who the hell else could I support?!
01a.) Newcastle United FC
My boys in England. I made a deal a decade and change ago with a British family who I helped move in next door to my uncle in Florida that they would support the Red Sox and I would support NUFC and we've held up our ends ever since. The first club I ever liked. When the Sox won in '04 i got a letter from them with a picture of their family in Sox hats and NUFC kits holding a sign reading "One down, one to go!" and it is one of my prized posessions. Like The Magpie said, hopeless causes are my bag baby. We're black, we're white, we're ********ing dynamite!
02.) Celtic FC
Anyone with Irish blood should support this team and considering my family history involves more than a few who have fought for Irish freedom dating back a good century, who else could you support in the SPL? In the words of my great-grandmother, "Ye'll come out fer Celtic er else!"
THE OTHERS....
Real Racing Santander
I know a fair number of Spaniards from my old job and my friend did some work over there in the area and hooked me up with a really nice scarf so I adopted them as my boys in Spain. Not Madrid, not Barca, Racing y nada más!
Sydney FC
My sister Meg started following the new A League in Australia and got me into it. When she was down there she stayed in Sydney and when they first began they had an American on their side so I adopted them as well.
Donegal Celtic F & SC
My family's roots on both sides are in County Donegal so regardless of the fact that they play in the Northern Irish league I have to be behind the Donegal Football & Social Club. It's in the blood and that.

There are people with Irish blood who do not support terrorists or care about the Shit Premier League
If you want to debate people with Irish blood who should be supporting something, how about a team in Ireland?
EDIT: statements like that are what make me cheer on Rangers
