Ive gotta be missing something about this whole thing, if someone could enlighten me it would be much appreciated!
Since Mastroeni signed with a Serie B club, and smart money has Dempsey hopping the pond, wouldnt their clubs hold onto them rather than partaking in the USMNT camp?
since when did mastro sign with a serie B club?

Why not? It'll help them to start getting fit. If they leave early, it'll still just be a friendly.

Theres nothing in that thread, nor any new news that says he's actually signed for Brescia. If he and Dempsey transfer in January, they won't be in camp.

yes. Dempsey is almost a sure thing to be gone , but is on the list , because think of the upheavel if Bradley does not name him on his first roster , even if he is going to leave.
I have a feeling Mastro will still be around for the camp and the friendlies.

But that has nothing to do with this thread...
considering EJ did not get called up.

Dempsey is gone for sure
Brian Carroll and Nate Jaqua are 50/50's
I hadn't heard about Mastroeni, but i think that is about 25% of happening.
Will we replace the players who leave?? or just keep the reduced number.

I wonder where. My wife and I might be going to Europe in the fall. It's a wonderful place for a vacation.

the match is on the 21st, the transfer window closes on the 31st...i dont see how theres a problem. most deals never close until the end of the month anyway.

I see your point but it could also be a team like Charlton saying GET HERE NOW! I still dont think Charltons out of it yet....despite popular belief. I think itd be a good move for him helping Gibbs dig out.
I heard somethin about Jaqua and Carroll both moving. I reaaallly hope Carroll lands in Marseille thatd be a sweet gig (thats where i was hoping Davies would try and stick his gig :( )
Mastro i thought was in the bag, guess i was wrong. I still think he has a ticket with his name on it for 2010, and maybe staying put in MLS would be the best decision for him.

Didn't Jacqua sign w/ LA? I thought that meant he had given up on Europe.

there have been rumors that Fulham and Dempsey already have a deal in place but have to wait until January 1st.

Dempsey is as good as gone, I highly doubt he'll be at the camp in January... An English team will sign him straight away. If hes there at all, it should only be for a few days because of negotiations, but I think the only reason he's on the list is if contract talks break down and he needs fitness through the end of January.
Mastroeni? Rumors abound with Brescia but nothing new of late.
Carroll? Word was that Marseille weren't interested in him in the end. Does he try to stick it out in Europe?
Jaqua? Will be in LA this season.

he went for a trial and Reading declined to pursue it....much to the chagrin of MLS I'm sure....
