With an eye on the U20s, U23s and expanding the pool for the Gold Cup and Copa America I would imagine we will see every American MLS player with a pulse.

To paraphrase a great BS poster - - whoever is on the roster, I intend to complain about it.

I haven't checked up on injuries lately, so take this with a grain of salt. This is NOT the roster for anyone stumbling on the thread.

GK Brad Guzan
GK Troy Perkins
GK Kevin Hartman

RB Marvell Wynne
RB Chris Albright
LB Todd Dunivant
LB Jonathan Bornstein
CB Bobby Boswell
CB Jimmy Conrad
CB Eddie Robinson
CB Chad Marshall

CAM Landon Donovan
CM Sacha Klejstan
WM Eddie Gaven
WM Justin Mapp
WM Brian Mullan
WM Brad Davis
DM Ricardo Clark
DM Pablo Mastroeni

F Freddy Adu
F Brian Ching
F Kenny Cooper
F Taylor Twellman
F Chris Rolfe

Sub in Eddie Johnson for Adu/Rolfe if he's still on this side of the pond.

I guess the move to MLS paid off the way he'd hoped.

Personally, I'd bring in Mastro before Olsen.

Adu's with the U20s.

I'd like to see Jeff Cunningham get a call.

EJ would be fun too just to read the posts.

NM regarding Brescia...I guess the better question with Mastro is can he play because of the WC red card suspension or does that only apply to the first two Gold Cup games?

Official games only.

Fortunately, the Gold Cup will take care of his suspension, and he'll be available for Copa.

Assuming he's selected that is.

I'm interested to see who's selected tomorrow, however I think a lot of this camp roster is pretty much given. I would expect a lot of the usual suspects, with maybe a surprise or two. I don't expect Bob to go out on too many limbs until the job is his for sure.

My prediction:

GK: Reis, Guzan, Perkins
D: Conrad, Boswell, Marshall, Robinson, Alrbright, Dunivant, Pearce, Wynne
M: Mastroeni, Clark, Olsen, Beckerman, Klejstan, Mapp, Davis, Mullan
S: Donovan, Ching, Cooper, Twellman, Rolfe, Bornstein

As usual, the winter camp serves mostly as an opportunity for the best MLS players to stay fit during the offseason. However, since this is the beginning of a new cycle, a few serious opportunities present themselves. There are some openings on the full team, and success at a few key spots will earn valuable audtions with the full squad come spring/summer.

Left Back: Dunivant and Pearce battled straight up last year, but neither made the final cut. The winner this year, barring injury, may find himself in the starting lineup with the full team.

Centerback: With Pope and Berhalter gone this cycle, new CB options will be needed, especially with Gibbs' health and Bocanegra's propensity to play anywhere but CB. Conrad is the incumbent, but Boswell should push him. The winner gets a one-off with DeMerit in the Spring to establish the pecking order for the rest of the year.

Central Midfield: The Reyna-O'Brien pairing took us far in 2002. The illusion that it still existed gave us false hope in 2006. Any player who can be part of a balanced two-way midfield core has a ticket straight to the first XI. Do not pass go. Beckerman and Clark will no doubt be standouts in the domestic camp. We won't know if they are for real until they can do it at Copa.

Striker: Brian McBride, 30 goals, retired. Landon Donovan, 25 goals, hasn't scored for the US since May 2005. DeMarcus Beasley, 12 goals, in a funk, Eddie Johnson, 9 goals, no comment. Any striker who can put it in the net will get a call back. I have hopes for Kenny Cooper. He's got that killer instinct that you see in Clint Dempsey and that we used to see in Donovan.

I predict there is no chance for Olsen, Martino or Esky to be called in.

I think it's possible. I'm a bigger fan of many so I'd call him in, but you don't know what Bradley will do.
