is it a crime to be an american?
haha well if our current foreign policy continues....we sure aren't looking great to the rest of the world right now.
But for the non-American posters: not all of us are ignorant, racist, brash idiots. There are quite a few Americans who disagree with everything the government is doing right now.

Nah, we just disagree. It's just that a lot of the people I live around are that way, and they don't really care what's happening in the world. It just bothers me...sorry if that offended you.

oh i care. trust me. nothing gets me more heated than policy. i just agree with some of bush and i disagree as well. it effects the WHOLE WORLD. people need to be educated about issues (or life in general) before they make decisions. and it does not offend me unless you speak before thinking of the whole instead of the part.

Well, I'm sorry I spoke for only those I have most contact with, and I should have spoken more to what I think is skewed about the general stereotypes of Americans throughout the world. So, sorry, and I'm going to stop now.

our government is crap. we let in millions of criminal (read: illegals) and going to let them get a free pass. since that is a felony, you think that if i shot and killed your best friend i could get freedom too?

edit: no disrespect to you or your friend. just an example to open your eyes.

I hate getting into political discussions. you always piss somebody off.

the war was inevitable, but there was poor execution. honestly, if bush didn't start bombing somebody for the attacks, everyone would have turned completely against him at once(how ironic  ). we couldn't sit back and accept defeat in what had happened, we're too proud.

how many people were for the war, until one of our soldiers actually died?? after that moment, it became.. "get our troops out of there, they don't belong. it's vietnam all over." etc etc. It's just a difficult situation; on one hand, you dont' want to see there being guys like bin laden running around.. but on the other, once you eliminate him, another will rise up. so do you chose to leave it alone, or take on the seemingly never-ending groups of radical terrorists in the world? it's almost a lose lose situation. I still don't have a stance on the war. I won't openly state that I hate it, but I you won't ever hear me say it was a good idea either. and, I don't want to sound like I'm lulled into a sense of false security by the government, but if it's what they have to do, then do it. I just know I won't be going over to fight(almost a double-standard). if they ever implement a draft, I feel like I might lose an appendage that day :D .

A little light hearted story while the politics is being discussed.

Why oh why would you do that if you were a premiership player

war in iraq had nothing to do with the attacks on america, they wernt iraqi they were afganistanis

the war in iraq was for personal gain which is why your building permanent barracks over there and have massive corporations like halliburton making millions not to mention the oil

and dont worry about a draft, im sure most people would rather go to jail than get blown to shit

i know iraq has nothing to do with the attacks. but, we didn't go straight to iraq, either. that was what our republicans would call killing two birds with one stone, an added bonus.
