Cool a little extra coverage for the Men's National Team, soccer, and hopefully a little plug for MLS and the allstar game.

We can hope so! After all, they'll need to explain what they're doing in Washington a month after the WC ended...gotta at least MENTION the All-Star game.
Good exposure!

It is pretty cool for the Nats to visit the Shrub.

I heard MLS officials arranged the meeting so overseas coaches would have a reason to release players other than the MLS All Star match.

Haven't seen the roster. So I don't know if the plan worked or not. Are Reyna, JOB, Sanneh, Regis, Stewart, et. al. expected?

Yess, I just caught this on Good Morning America too. I'm surprise this is not mentioned on ussoccer.com or mlsnet.com

Not this administration, but I believe DC United partied at the White House w/ Clinton after one of their MLS Cups.

And now we bring you another Princess Bride segway. . .

"Good Luck storming the castle, boys"

"Do you think it'll work? Will soccer take over America?"

"It'll take a Miracle."

There was a picture in my elevator (we have the ones with TV in them) of Bush posing with the team and his new jersey (#43).

Good general exposure! America still cares or at least the people at captivate do.

President George Bush, the least intelligent president of the United States ever, receives a "shirt-thing" from members of the U.S. National Soccer Team, Friday, Aug. 2, 2002, in the Oval Office of the White House. From left to right are: Cobi Jones, Clint Mathis, coach Buce Arena, Bush, Tony Meola, Chris Armas and Josh Wolff. Bush congratulated the team on Friday for the most successful effort by the Americans in the World Cup tournament in 72 years. The number "43" represets Bush's presidential number.
