One of the greatest coaches of all sports once said, "When it's half-way through the season, you know what you have in a team... You are what you are."
Well, we are a little less than half the season into the year, and all I have seen is crap. Are we crap? Pederson hasn't player worth anything, Ooijer (all of you know I hate the way this guy plays) has been a seive, the midfielders haven't given our forwards much service at all, our strikers have been pedestrian at best, and Nelson has been our best player AND HE HAS BEEN HURT ALL YEAR! UEFA is our best bet for a good finish for anything.
Are you guys seeing what I am seeing?

Our strikers are more off-side than on.
MGP is crap this season.
Our defence doesn't know if it is coming or going.
The only players who appear to be earning their pay packets are Savage, Friedel, and Tugay.
But, maybe I'm just bitter????

Let em start off by saying, "I hear you, and I agree."
I think that our strikers need to play better, but they aren't getting any service from the mids.
MGP hasn't player worth anything this year, and is contributing to the terrible play of our strikers. However, he is not receiving the ball from the defenders in places where he can make a difference. Savage and Tugay have been playing their butts off, but their lack of talent is showing. Their effort is there, and it looks like they (and Friedel, God bless his American soul) are the only ones who care about this season, about pride, and about the fans.
Our defenders are the problem. Everyone knows I can't stand how Ooijer has played this year, and the game against Reading was another example how his play has deteriorated. I am not saying that the effort isn't there, but he just looks lost. We can't mark anyone, we can't pass to the mids, and we can't keep the ball from being fired at our keeper at 50+ mph. Rediculous.
So, back to my original question. Is this what we should expect from the rest of the season? Are we going to be in a relegation battle? Also, can we get any help from the January transfer window? Is there any help out there?

We have seen a few moments of brilliance from Bentley, McCarthy, Savage to name a few. If they can play at this level a bit more consistently and avoid any more injuries then I think we can have a stronger second half and stay out of the relegation battle. But if they keep playing the way they're playing now....

It appears we are all in agreement:
Certain players are not giving it their all.
Certain players are not up to the standard of the Premiership.
We are all starting to look at the bottom of the table and notice the worrying lack of points accumulated.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
The biggest problem is that no one will want to come to Blackburn, because of the climate, the lack of home support, and the fact that there are plenty more attractive clubs for a player to want to go to.

Does anyone actually want David Dunn back, so that we can pay him to get injured?

Yeah, and it's about time too.
Mind you, if he plays too well in 2007, we may end up losing him to the Nukes, the Pool, the Arse, or at a long shot, the Nure or the Sea.
