Well, so far there have been pretty good goals in the champions league. So pick your favourite.

Mine is Crouchs' (Liverpool) scissors kick, would've been Lampards goal against Barca but i'm not sure if he was trying to score or cross. :p

1. Nakamura's freekick against Man U. - The perfect freekick.
2. Lucho Gonzalez's volley against Hamburg. - It's not just any volley into the top corner. It's not a powerful hit and hope. He guided it in, pretty much.
3. Van Nistelrooy's chip against Steaua Bucharest. - Amazing skill...and I'm biased. ;) Got to have a Madrista.
To be fair, I haven't seen Crouch's scissor kick, but I strongly dislike Liverpool anyway. Zhirkov goal had some pretty poor defending. Lampard's was a fluke. IMO.

Ronaldinho's free kick against Werder Bremen, because it was so unexpected.

Unless Lampard was lying for the sake of glory he said he practiced curving the ball in from behind the goal. When he got the ball on the line he suppossedly intended to curve it in and it wasnt really a fluke cause he has practiced harder angles. Ofcourse thats assuming he was telling the truth :p

It's a good goal granted, but not one Hamburg player makes a tackle...even the last man pulls out of it. Poor defending rather than great play by Zhirkov.

Well for the first leg of round 7 we've seen some good goals but my pick of the bunch is Raul Meireles' strike for Porto against Chelsea, that was pure class. By the way, does anyone else notice that we seem to be lacking beautiful well worked goals nowadays.
P.S I seriously disliked Giggs' goal against Lille, I hate when a player takes advantage of a rule like that, I mean he had good accuracy but at least make it legit.

I have no problem with that. The team that has committed an infraction (a foul in this case) does not get to tell the wronged team how to take the FK. That's the whole point about calling a foul: you are supposed to be penalizing the offending team only, not both of them.
If he wants to take it fast, he can take it fast. If the wall isn' ready, how about Lille be a bit brighter and start forming the wall NEAR the ball (if Giggs doesn't want to allow the wall to form properly that's his problem, whether the wall is close or far from him). It's a rookie mistake on the part of Lille: put a man on the ball until the ref pulls you back and then you'll be guaranteed to form a wall properly.
BTW, why is this in NSR?

You have some pretty good points. My argument is that I have been hearing around that the ref said wait on the whistle, if thats the case under no condition should the goal be allowed to stand. Its the ref's call, if he wants to make them wait, they should wait, if thats not the case then im all for letting the goal stand but i still would say it would feel kinda cheap.
I also cant agree with you about the rookie mistake, putting a man on the wall does nothing against a quick pass (At most it blocks the keepers view of the ball) and if the opposing player takes the kick and its blocked wouldnt that just result in a yellow card. Also forming the wall near the wall just exposes a lot of space behind a lot of players, resulting in easier through balls.
P.s i saw the Uefa team here so i just thought, what the heck, its my first thread bear with me.
