Ronaldo would be able to to do the same tricks that ronaldinho does ( and ronaldo used to do some awy back 97) but he cannot do most of them due to what i think is his knee injury.
Also Ronaldinho has said that Ronaldo was one of his idols.

Thing is Ronaldo at his prime would do these tricks but in an effective way. He'll do them in such blistering speed with one thing in his mind and that to score a goal. Ronaldo doesn't showboat like Ronaldinho. Big difference.
As for the topic... Ronaldo is top 5 legend, who's Ronaldinho?

Ronaldo is IMO the best striker to play the game. Ronaldinho is what? He's had maybe 2 years where he may have been the world's best.

They aren't even the same type of player.
I would like to see a comparison between Ronaldo and Eusebio. Stats and everything.

you can only say ronaldinho is overrated, if you discount the entertainment value he brings to the pitch.
personally, i love the flashy moves.

Heh, I would say that Ronaldinho is overrated by his fans, but not by his coaches.
Fans just see the dribbles and flicks, but his game is much more.
However, If we played another player in the inside left fwd position for Barca, such as say Ryan Giggs, I think he could be as impressive.
But Ronaldo is a player that only comes across every 30 years or so...

we'll just have to wait 30 years for the next Ronaldo..............................

I think so. Look at the other candidates Brazil has for striker.

perfect example is pele-Ronaldo, almost exact time game
though robinho was going to be really good, which he is but not pelle, Ronaldo standard.
on football manager 2005 he is worth nearly 40mil and is really good.

I would pick Ronaldo over Ronaldinho in a heart beat. For example, the 2006 world cup was supposed to be Ronaldinho's time to shine but Ronaldo went out and played great scored a bunch of goals. Ronaldinho got left in the dust and didn't do anything at last years tournement. A few people have already said it and I will say it again..Ronaldinho is a bit over rated. I think that's Nike's fault. Ronaldinho has a great ball control but he just has not accompolished enough to be put on the same pedestal as Ronaldo.

He probably is a bit overrated. But at the same time, he has accomplished a lot in the game, and as such it's probably better that he's overrated than a much lesser player.

Ronaldo is not the best, far from it, and you cannot simple cherry pick the few years he had pre-injury.

cherry picker???? far from being the best??? you can't be serious teso. the guy is simply in the top 5 best strikers to ever live. you know damn well ronaldo was the best striker in the world before his injuries. i mean what couldn't he do up front??

He was the current best pre-injury and then top 10 (of his time) since then. My point was certain posters claimed him to be the best ever which is clearly a crock.

i would not say he is the best ever but he is very close and could well have been if had not been injured, we'll just nver know.
I personally feel that Ronaldo should have stayed at Barcelona and not moved to Inter.i think e performed better in that league and the goal tally shows.
