i think we all agree Ronaldo was stunning in two world cups and was absolutely fantastic in his achievment of 15 WC goals....and it wasnt just goals, it was the way he did it. he was a throwback to a by-gone era of charging down the field and dancing through defenders...the game was evolving into a much more team based sport, but he refused to settle for that. If anyone was going to score, it was going to be him...and if the ball was in his half? It didnt matter, he was going to make it down there before anyone else anyways!! So we all agree Ronaldo was an AMAZING international player, probably the best striker of all time...And Ronaldinho is an amazing midfielder...unstoppable free-kicks from 25 yds, and a maestro conductor of the pace and the play that is unfolding. Plus his feet arent so bad either!
Ronaldo joined Madrid in 2002, winning the Spanish league at the end of his first season, but no major trophies since.
Ronaldo scored 82 goals in 120 Spanish league matches in his first four seasons. In the Champions League, he scored 13 times in 32 games.
Ronaldo's honors
1 Brazilian Cup 1993
PSV Eindhoven 1 Datch Cup 1995/1996
Barcelona 1 Cup Winners Cup
1 Spanish Cup 1996/1997
1996/1997
Inter 1 Uefa cup 1997/1998
Real Madrid
1 European Supercup
1 Intercontinental Cup
1 Spanish League
1 Spanish Supercup
When it comes down to it, they are both two completely different players. if you want to compare, compare Adriano and Ronaldo or something.
by the way, Ronaldo isnt looking half bad for AC milan....

I'll say.....
5 goals + 4 assists + 2 penalties won [converted to goals by Gila and Kaka] +
1 area bordering free kick won [converted to goal by Pirlo] + 4 disallowed goals [2 were valid]

Feel free to criticize Ronaldo, but an overweight, slow Ronaldo, coming off a major injury and becoming top scorer at the WC leading Brazil to the title is one of the great moments of football.
I think he is the best striker to ever kick a ball. He is now happy at Milan, and has been talking about the importance of this summer's training programme. I think he will be even better next year.

Costa Rica 2 Brazil 5: Brazil's second goal credited to Ronaldo, some sources give it as a Luis Marín own goal. Marín's touch is decisive, Ronaldo's claim to the goal is tenuous.
no müller goal in in his wc is questioned....and müller has scored 14 goals in only 13 games...müller was recalled wrongfully in the final 1974 worldcup final a legal goal..2 meters onside and not offside...
if you combinate all this points ronaldo is not a inch higher than müller...its a bit overated...
in müllers opinion fontaine is the best ..he has scored 13 goals in 6 games worldcup 1958..

Ronaldo may well play in the next WC, if he keeps fit. So he may long surpass Muller.
I think he's the best striker to ever kick a ball.

Ronaldo was using half the tricks Ronaldinho uses now before Ronaldinho even went pro. But you can't credit that elastico thing to either of them because Rivelino was doing it back iin the 70's.

Yup...
These young ones dont realize...that ronaldo= ronaldinho's idol....
Everything he does he more than likely picked up after watching ronaldo do them...
NOW IM NOT SAYING THAT RONALDO HAS CREATED ALL THE TRICKS RONALDINHO DOES...
Merely saying that ronaldo was doing the stuff you see ronaldinho do..except he was doign it wayyy back in 97....

Not true. His idol is not only Ronaldo ... he also mentions , Rivaldo, Rivelino, Zico, Diego Armando Maradona, Romario as his idols.

You can make an argument that Ronaldo is the best striker to play the game.
But ronaldinho the best forward? It's not nearly as strong a case.
