View Full Version : So I wanna copy DVD's...

So set aside the legal and ethical issues of copying protected DVD's....
What do I need (preferably free)?
I've done some searching around a couple of different message boards and found a myriad "solutions", but alot of the discussion was over my head and I started to get a migraine.
Let's try to make this simple for a non-computer guy like myself....
Where can I find some freeware that is very simple to use? I have Roxio on my new laptop and the burning process is pretty damn easy. So I guess I just need someting that will unprotect protected DVD's.

All I can say is "Shrink it!" :D That's how I usually do and it's very easy and free:)

I have a PC.
So I used DVD Shrink....wtf do I do after that? I tried using my Roxio software to burn the movie from my hard drive to DVD, but that didn't work.

jesus is punishing you for violating copyright laws. and this at christmas. don't you think he's busy enough already with all the parties he has to go to?

you use dvd shrink to burn it also,select back up and away you go.

correcto. DVDshrink is a helluva program. I've used it to back up my DVD's as well.

Do a Google for "DVD Shrink" and you'll get a number of sites where you can download it from.
SOB...I'm still having trouble getting the movie burned onto a disc using Roxio. DVD Shrink saves the movie to my harddrive, but when I try to burn it...I just don't know how :rolleyes:.

for the second time dvd shrink burns it for you fearM9...you click on BACK UP

Out of all the websites I've perused with regards to DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter...the one you posted helped me the most and suprisingly I was able to copy a DVD last night!!

5 years in prison and a fine of $250K is a fair price to pay for illegally pirating movies, dontcha think...:eek:
