Well that first half was a real slip-up by the Saints as Southend lead 1-0 thanks to a Freddy Eastwood goal on the 21' minute. Why Makin is starting and Jesus is not even on the bench is beyond me. As is having BWP starting as he has done beautifully coming off the bench by scored a few goals that way. Why George are you tinkering with a winning side? We haven't lost in seven matches. Southend are starting off brightly again with a shot that is just lifted over the net by a former Skate on the 49' minute. Saints still must be in Southampton.

Burley makes his second change in just a few minutes as Idiakez comes on for Makin and Wright slips back to RB on the 54' minute.

Well FFS, Saints loose to the worst team in the Championship 2-1. Southend haven't won since mid-August for God's sake!!! This was truly one of the banana skins which Saints needed to avoid and they didn't as usual!! Christ, what a disappointing end to an excellent run of matches. What an awful display of football by the Saints today!!! :mad:

I hope Burley has figured out htat he should not tinker too much with a winning side. Let's hope we can get back to our winning ways next week at St. Mary's against the Canaries.

I feel like I cursed them with thinking "geeze they could win 5 in a row to close out the year". This should've been a win so easy that it would've made easy wins look hard compared to it. Saints should've won this game with their eyes closed. Seems like they took that a lil' too literally and lost. :mad:
