How can Valencia be linked with any Dr. at all when their injury problems are growing every week?

Maybe this is why we always player better in the 2nd half, Capello always juices the players up during halftime ;)
Our Response:
Real Madrid have no links with Eufemiano Fuentes and never have done, none of our players can go to another doctor without the permission of the club, and no one has asked permission to be treated by him
Barca's reponse:
Football Club Barcelona would like to issue a categorical denial of the information published in French daily Le Monde on Thursday in relation to the supposed, and completely non-existent, use of the services of doctor Eufemiano Fuentes by the club and deny that he had any involvement in the preparations for last season. Football Club Barcelona reserves the right to take legal action.

In Valencia's case, I bet Dr. Eufemiano Fuentes is denying any links with THEM, as it would make him look bad. :D
Pretty bad dope they've been giving the team if this is even remotely true, not a prize in years, and crappy football to boot.

Yes possibly. They don't need anything at halftime. All they need is an undetectable doping procedure done weeks beforehand to give them a boost in stamina. They can also be treated to recover quicker - making them more quickly recovered and fit after a match to play again or train.
The lack of evidence though, makes the question --- how credible is Le Monde? I was actually suprised that no real evidence has leaked out in this scandal against any footballers or football clubs. It has been the biggest doping scandal in sports history (which is saying a lot, because sports and doping have been tied very close for centuries).
In regards to Valencia... who knows if and who is doping their players. But yes, some doping procedure can make players more likely to be injured (why do you think Ronaldo ********ed up his knee many years ago...)

Apparently now, Fuentes himself is saying he has worked with both clubs.
I wonder, why would he say this if he is lying? All he would be doing is asking for more legal trouble - civil and criminal.

"These accusations are far too serious. Independent of whether clubs have denied it or not, I can deny it because there is nothing in it,"
When asked by Spanish state television if these documents were genuine Fuentes replied: "As far as I know, no."
"I have never given names, nor will I, of people or sporting clubs I have worked with,"
He is denying it.

There is no concrete evidence. We have nothing to worry about. Most newspapers aren't reporting it anyway, it's just Le Monde I think. They probably don't wanna get sued by the clubs for trying to destroy their image or something.

Yes sorry, I just caught it on TV and as usual, they mis-report this sort of thing.

Manzano offers more testimony

After the information published in Le Monde last Friday, former Kelme rider Jesús Manzano has alleged on France 3 that one of the sportsmen he had seen while being treated by Eufeniano Fuentes belonged to Real Madrid. "Fuentes worked as an adviser to the club's official doctors," said Manzano. "The judge in charge of the Operación Puerto case has not called to me to testify, but if he does, I will explain everything I know, that there were soccer players among the clients of Fuentes".
However, Manzano believes it is unlikely that any charges will be brought as a result of the article. "In Spain, it is not possible to say anything about the Gods [football clubs]," he said.

Manzano is a cyclist who has recieved death threats for the detailed information he has given the press about doping practices.
