Dude, none of those three missing is any excuse. We can win without all three.

Schlake is not "lucky". The rest will be there.

Surely not FC Meineid. It should be a club that has won one of the world's most prestigious cups...like:

Haven't checked lately, but how often have Schlacke won the one or other cup? Can't remember.....

What I can remember are my sweet moments on that May night in 1997 in Munich's Olympiastadion.

How and where did you celebrate your last Champions League title?...........Last night?..........On your playstation? *lol*

Exactly. They should talk shit when they actually win something that matters.......

Loved the clip. It was my second best memory in the Südtribune. That is where I was when Andersson's beautiful goal took place.

I was somewhere in Berlin, in some pub IIRC. There weren't any BVB or Schlacke supporters around and people starred at me, when I jumped up and yelled like mad. ;-)

I'm gonna be honest with you; that was probably the worst half of soccer I have seen in my life. Wow.

I am way too new here to rub anyone's face in today's result. Let's just say I hope you guys can figure out a way to climb back up to 6th and make it to the InterTwato Cup next summer. You haven't played in Europe in a few years now, so playing somewhere in eastern Europe in July would be a good character building experience.

As long as I know that you will never experience a Bundesliga title in your whole life......I am fine.

No doubt about that, but worth it if it can help us focus on winning a CL spot for next year.

Even though you are "new" you are one of the few Schalke fans I will congratulate on yesterday’s match and ignore that final comment.

As long as you show that kind of class, despite the rivalry, I'll be glad to see you around here anytime.

I think even this rivalry can use some class and intelligence and I think you showed both. We all can get out of line at times, but we didn’t do that here for the most part.

As we said, on paper, you guys should have won the match and your guys did what they should have done.

Me, for the first time in a LONG TIME, I actually missed the Derby. I was on the autobahn during the match and when I first heard the score, it was 3-0 to Schalke and I turned off the radio the rest of the trip.

At that point, I really expected a 5-0 thumping.

It doesn't get any better for us next week with Frei and Tinga suspended.

Herr Watzke, there's lots of work to be done at the winterpause.

Will you get it done??

Dam, what a goal that was by Frei! A real beauty

But the problem is that Dortmund still lost

I'm still waiting to see that goal. I'll go to the "BVB Club" at the website after work and check out the match highlights.

Not only did we get our asses kicked, both Frei and Tinga are out of next week's match with Bayer Leverkusen because they both saw their fifth yellow card of the season against Schalke......

Yeah, Frei's goal was nice, but it came too late.

Well thanks for the kind and gracious words. Sorry you were stuck on the autobahn, although I think you would have been more miserable in front of the television. As an American from the Midwest I tend to be a little less "blood and guts" about sport rivalries than the average football fan. I have enjoyed participating here and also felt the discussion was mostly civil and enjoyable. I am glad to be able to discuss the Bundesliga (and in English!), most of the people I know around here are not really such big football fans. Thanks again for making an "enemy" fan feel welcome!

Yes, I'm quite sure I would have been.

As an American from the Midwest I tend to be a little less "blood and guts" about sport rivalries than the average football fan.

I'm a born and raised Philadelphia fan. As you are around here more, you will see that style more and more in me. I can criticize our own team more than I usually do opponents.

And when we suck, I say we suck. I'm not one of those out of touch with reality, "Rah-Rah, we're the best even if we suck" kind of fans.

I have little tolerance for those fans. I like to enjoy sports on a realistic plane. And I'm not afraid to give our opponents credit when they were simply better as I hear Schalke was yesterday.

But as you saw, when someone hits out at us, I will hit back. You won't see me going on a Schalke forum and starting up stuff before a Derby. I'd rather have realistic conversation as we did.

I just got back to Germany in April after a three year tour in San Antonio, TX. I LOVED San Antonio, but the football coverage was starting to dry up. That's not the main reason I came back to Germany, but one of the bonuses is being able to follow the sport regularly again.

Ihr Rotzlümmel dachtet doch wohl nicht daß Ihr den GROßEN
F.C. Schalke 04 (owned by members) schlagen könnt?
