I can name atleast 200 players who are better then Seedorf and have played in the same era as him

These are your ideas. Silly childish ones but I still respect them. Maybe one day you will see what I mean and tell your grandsons about the wonderful football ability and wholeness of Clarence.
These are our silly ideas that a player who has never been revered at a club is the best player ever? Shocking.

People revere people. Peope are stupid living in a stupid political economical and social system. So why cant "The best player ever" choice of them be dumb as well? You all shock me but I'm trying to empatise anyway. cheers.
btw I said "Maldini and Seedorf" as "best players ever", but Seedorf had a harder time getting to the top imho. Respect to the italian and the surinamese/dutch

Maldini has got to the top. He is featured in pretty much everybody's "greatest ever" squads. Seedorf is nowhere to be seen in these squads. That is usually a good sign of greatness. If, in response, you say that this is because of discrimination then it should be pointed out that Eusebio is a regular as well as a host of black Brazillians. You can have your opinion but you have to realise that no-one agrees with you.

´Everybody in Holland hated him because he was black, because his play has always been brilliant´

umm... How did Seedorf even get a mention in this thread? Anyway I don't think that there is an actual best player, seeing as they all have their attributes that they became great for.

I like the fact that you've chosen someone different and tried to put a case for him. Bit like my reverence of Matt Le Tissier.

Paolo Maldini.
Or Denis Behan :)
Its strange when people are so certain about players they've never actually seen play.

Pele without question.
Without question? Then you must know something we don't because otherwise there wouldn't be a 21 page discussion on it.

I am going to have to say Zidane is the greatest player of all time.
Why...
He could do it all. Unlike some big name players he never went missing in big games...
Of course Pele and Maradona are in the frame, as is Ronaldinho. Its a matter of opinion.
Hey, here's a dark horse....H. Stoichkov! What a legend! Lol. You seen him on pro eveo soccer! Lol. Best left foot ever...;)
This debate will never go away about the best player of all time...but thats why we all love football right? It revolves around opinion...
The fans are as much part of the sport as the players...:)

well for me its bobby charlton. apparently, when he burst on the scene, i've read that it was very much like the way beckham did, as far as the world seeing this great, extra special new talent. he was just the best around by all accounts, and a real gentleman too.
he was one of the busby babes[man utd], and played alongside the likes of georgie best and denis law.
he had a thunderbolt of a shot in both legs, and he was always scoring from outside the box.
the only bad thing about him was his hairstyle!!! he had the dreaded comb-over. actually, in england if you describe someone as having a bobby charlton, they know exactly what you mean as far as the hair goes.

Is that your lobotomy speaking? Responses like that are why I generally avoid this thread. Anyway, rather than disagreeing and sparking yet another debate on the issue I will just direct you to the last one I can remember.
