The draw is today at 3:15pm England time (less than three hours from now). We're ball #1.
Here is the page on the FA site (http://www.thefa.com/TheFACup/TheFACup/NewsAndFeatures/Postings/2006/12/draw.htm)with all of the info on this draw.

No shock...I'm hoping that we get one of those 45-64 teams. A nice easy beginning to our cup run would be sweet especially with this game coming around Saturday 06 January right after the holiday fixture pileup and right before a possible league cup semi final.

Liverpool, good test for the second string, or should Arsene Wenger play the first team?

Are you being sarcastic? The first team of course, this is our best shot at silverware this year.

We play at Anfield over the week-end of 6th January 2007.
You can blame me for this one. As the balls were being drawn and we were still in the pot, I'm sitting there thinking, "We've got Liverpool away in the Carling Cup. I bet we get them in the FA Cup". Sorry boys! :)
A good couple of games for the "Boys on Loan".
Cardiff City vs. Spuds & Birmingham vs. Newcastle. A few other "interesting ones. Man. Ure. vs. Villa; Chelsea vs. Macclesfield Town; Everton vs. Blackburn R.; West Ham vs. Brighton.

This is the FA Cup we are talking about, has to be the strongest line-up. Anything less would be crazy. This is a Cup I want Arsenal to win this season. Carling Cup kids have their chance coming up in Anfield already.

I think we should have a mix of first teamers & second string players playing, for example I would not play Henry, & start Walcott & Ljungberg etc

Whatever you may think of Wacott and Ljungberg they are regarded as first team players. Second string would be playing Trarore, Randall, Song etc..
Its more a first team squad than team now days. Pick your starting line-up largely based on form and fitness from your squad rather than 1-11.

Tough draw. I guess it shouldn't be terribly surprising. We haven't exactly cornered the market on good fortune this season.
The good news is that we have played remarkably well in our "big" Premiership matches. Win against Manure. Win against Liverpool. Win against Spuds.
Heck perhaps we should only play the top squads. :)

By second string I mean is when all of our team were fully fit which hardly ever happens, and play the players that usually make the bench.

Wow that sucks. Would have been good to get some lower league side. No way we come through the holiday period with a full squad (even if you leave out Henry missing games). Then 4 days later we get one of the toughest 3rd round draws. Just peachy.
Well...the kiddies will beat Liverpool in the league cup, the grown ups (average age 23 though ;) ) will get the win in this cup, and then pass the baton back to kiddies for the semi of the league cup a few days later. No problem.

Chelsea won't lose to Macclesfield. M-Town has 2 wins all year in all competitions.

exactly. number 3 soon to be delivered.
and I'm going to relish it the way Shevchenko would relish a return to valuable form.....
the way Ashley Cole would relish a fan....and a friend, to clean up that spray-paint...
the way etc., etc.

Macclesfield will roll Chelski and use their winnings to save themselves (http://www.macclesfieldtown-mad.co.uk/news/loadfeat.asp?cid=ED22&id=258174). Come on Silkmen!

We all know what is going to happen. That's why I'm not upset. I found it funny Arsenal fans were ripping Chelsea players. 3-1 Bolton?

It's called a joke. Take your cakewalk draw and lack of humor elsewhere. Nobody cares what you have to say.
