JoeBloe or anyone else, do you know who has the broadcast rights for these tournaments in the UK? Also, do you happen to know how they plan to cover them (will it be selected games, ppv, complete coverage, etc...)

My guess is Sky Sports.
I have seen the scores announced on Sky Sports News in the past, and I think I havealso heard that Martin Tyler has gone to the Copa america Tournaments to cover it.

i actually doubt these tournaments will be on sky sports. sky sports doesn't actually have all that much soccer. they have a couple premiership games and 1 spanish game a week. and a few champions league games. and martin tyler isn;t exclusive to sky sports either. the feeds we get of EPL with martin tyler aren't from sky (sky broadcasts are full of promotional material for other sky products) the video is from sky, the audio is provided by the league, through TWI it's broadcasting partner. sky sports news announces scores for everything, whether they actually hold the broadcast rights to the events they are reporting on or not.

It is confirmed that Sky Sports has bought both the Copa America 2007 and the next U-21 EURO Championships.
They have not said yet the extend of the coverage though.
I doubt very much that somebody in England will be interested in the Gold Cup. In fact, in the whole of Europe. If my memory is working, last time it was only broadcasted by Teledeporte in Spain and some matches in Al Jazeera Sport for the Middle East region.
Hope this answer your question.

cool thanks for the info. I'll have sky sports there, so I'll get to see copa america then. As far as the gold cup, it's held every 2 years, instead of every 4 like most continental cups. Every other one is considered "meaningful." The last one wasn't, but this one is, so perhaps it will get better coverage. Hopefully I'll have access to al jazeera sport (planning on getting ART Sports pack for premiership games)
