Yes, canalla is rosario central's nickname. It means something like lowlife, scum.

The nickname is almost 100 years old. They are from the city of Rosario, which is Argentina's second largest city. The other team from the city is NEWELL'S OLD BOYS. The story goes that Newell's Old Boys proposed to play a friendly against central to raise funds for Lepresy. Rosario Central declined and the fans of Newell's Old Boys have called Rosario central Canalla since then for not participating in the game. In retaliation, the fans of rosario central call NEWELL'S OLD BOYS fans, Leprosos, the Lepers for their willingness to help out those people affected by lepresy.

FYI, it's common for fans to take those nicknames and be proud of them. A fan of rosario Central will proudly call himself a canalla while a Newell's Old Boys fan will proudly call himself Leproso and his team La Lepra.

yo tambien escuche ese rumor, ya esta casi confirmado lo de la compra, el unico delantero que tiena rosario central es pablo vitti, qu tiene mucho futuro. asi que eestoy casi seguro que wachope va a ser una estrella. es una bueno incorporacion para el equipo de astrada.
