HBO is developing a pilot for Preacher based on the fantastic graphic novel of the same name by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon in the 90s.

The lenght and depth of the original work always made me think it would need to be a tv show and not a movie. If done right this could be great for fans, new viewers and HBO.

Holy shit!

I can't recall reading something that more fun than Preacher. I cringe when I read who's attached to write it, but I want to also be optimistic. This can turn out real good and now I'm excited.

Yeah, the names attached scare me, but you have to hope/think HBO will make sure they don't pull a Daredevil.

Really bad good news.

And at least Ennis and Dillon will co-exec it. Can't wait for the casting rumours.

Anyway, This really makes me want to go back and re-read the entire series.
