I found this refreshing.
Of course by our favorite author of all things German... Uli!

great article.
if i was ever to become a billionnaire i would buy bayern. but don't worry i would not buy to make money i would just buy it or even just give them money to buy players we need. i would keep the same management until they die. i would also fire magath, sign ribery and huntelaar.
hhhhhhhhhh it is nice to be able to dream, i mean dreams are so much nicer than reality.

Now it dawns on me who's behind Hoffenheim - a small team which is spending big on recruiting Rangnick and Peters - the guy who brings innovative training programs to Germany's hockey team.

I love this guy's attitude in working things from the grass-roots level. Hopefully this model succeeds and it will set the precident for all successful clubs in the future.

If anything, it can ONLY help develop a core of potential German National Team players.

Hats all to Hopp!

These guys are doing it the right way. It is refreshing. Best of luck to them.

I was half-smiling, half-frowning on this one...

Ballack yet to find his feet (http://soccernet.espn.go.com/columns/story?id=391619&root=england&cc=5901)

That article is way too harsh...seems like its got an agenda against him.

For the restrictions he faces at Chelski, he is doing pretty good. He had a great game against Barcelona and scored three so far, which isn't too shaby for a midfielder that just arrived in England and has to play alongside Lampard.

I don't disagree with you... I found it to be majorly slanted towards the player he pushed out wide... Mr. Lampard.

I really do want to see him succeed as Germany's ambassador in the EPL. Just not at Bayern's expense. ;)

Lehman is already the ambassador. :D

can someone tell me why this isn't in the Germany general forum? it somehow got twisted into a Ballack thread which makes it more humerous for me when reading through it. great story but not bayern related...then here comes Ballack, lol. BUT personally since this thread is still allowed to be open..here are my two cents on Ballack at Chelsea. I think he is doing a great job, its hard for anyone to shine in that midfield, i knew his speed was always goin to be a problem no matter where he went. But the only person i think starting more than him is Essien which isn't a bad deal at all. On the pitch I havent followed them at all but hearing what I've heard so far I think he is fine where he is. I just don't think it will be good for him next year when a whole set of 2-4 midfielders are brought in for even more competition, and Ballack a year older (not in the good way)

If the Mods wish to move this, then no one is stopping them, but since you asked...

Sure, I tell you exactly why it is here.... have you been to the German general forum? Yeah... right... I don't speak nor write in German. So my sheepish self decided to post it hear, where I know people enjoy a good read, and purposely titled it "NOT-Really-Bayern-Related"... this being because Bayern Munich just happens to be mentioned in both articles.

The Ballack thing was purely incidental. I figured since some would enjoy a good read, why not follow it up with another, albeit rather slanted.

So there you have it... the answer to your question and a peak into the complex mind of Eissman... which my friends affectionately call the EissHole. :D

I think this should be moved to the Germany forum...will wait to see general consensus though (as it is not really dealing with Bayern, but with an actual German team :D :D )

okok I leave now :D

My intention was to post it there... and should have. My apologies.

I figured the conversation would have been more suited for our board, but I may have misjudged that. Be my guest in moving it.

Cheers. :)
