I have been a fan of this guy ever since the U-17 World Cup (in Peru I believe), then started following him at Borussia Dortmund and couldn't help but be blown away by his play!
He's great technically, composed and has all the tools to be a superstar in the future. However, haven't seen him play at all since last season now that FSC no longer carries Bundesliga games and Dortmund isn't in UCL!
So if those who can could keep this thread updated on his progress, I would be much obliged.
Not to mention he has birthday pedigree being born 5th September, 1988 (exactly three years my junior!)

I like the attitude of our management. Sahin on loan with Bert to work in peace. And he is doing preety well in Netherlands.
He can be our icon in future, but I know, too much pressure isn't too good...

When all that "Joga Bonito" crap counts for goals in the Bundesliga, I'll be impressed.
Denilson was great with the ball too.
Where is he now??

It was a "good mistake." This season, Nuri would have played with us, but they thought he would not because they wanted PETRIC to be the "playmaker."
Big f#ckin' mistake.
However, I'm happy Nuri got to work with BvM one more season, but the fact that BVB signed Tamas Hajnal shows they still aren't confident in Nuri reaching his potential anytime soon.
I think he eventually will, but it may not be with us. Not until we get a coach who can develop young talent.
Which is why I hope the Klopp rumors are true.

Is Klopp a good coach especially with younger players?

Yes. He also has an uncanny knack of getting the best out of truly mediocore players.......

Yes but Mainz had/has got an awful team.

Yes, but he also got them to 1. BL and kept them there when no one thought they had a chance to do either one......

Yes but Mainz had/has got an awful team.
By 1. BL standards, yes, they did/do.
This is also getting away from the topic. Metro, can you post these on the General Discussion Thread??

There is a short interview with Sahin in today's "Kicker." He mostly talks about his experience in Rotterdam. He says it was important for him to have worked with BvM before and BvM's belief in him was very important to him this season as he beat out strong competition for playing time.
He also says one of the major difference between the Dutch League and the Bundesliga is that in Holland, there are five or six teams who play at a consistently high level whereas in the Bundesliga, there are fifteen or sixteen. I disagree a bit with him. I agree on Holland, but I think in the Bundesliga, there are only six or seven teams who CONSISTENTLY play at a high level, not fifteen or sixteen.
They ask him about what will happen when his loan period is up. Sahin says he is aware Feyenoord has no buy option and he is constantly in contact with Zorc. He says he is a "Dortmunder Junge" (Dortmund Boy), but he knows other clubs are always interested in a 19 year-old like him.
For me, that doesn't sound good. I want him back in Dortmund next season to push Hajnal. I would like to see how getting married has matured Sahin.
I know our management is thinking of selling him to get more money for defenders, but I hope they do not. We need to see where this kid is going in his career.

Sale of Sahin would be extremely foolish.

Sale of Sahin would be extremely foolish.
Which is exactly why I think these idiots will do it. They are totally convinced the team's problem is "just" central defense.
They are just stupid enough to do this.

Hm Doll stated that they are more comfortable with strong midfield. Maybe something is going into a positive way =)

Problem is, those idiots don't seem to think Sahin can contribute to that.
I think it will come down to how much they plan to spend on defenders. If they don't have enough to get the two they want, as I said before, I think they are just stupid enough to sell Sahin.
Even if we keep Sahin, I think we need a new midfielder, but a better holding midfielder than Kringe......
But I don't think they see that.

When I said this on other bvb forum that we need a better midfielder instead of Kringe, folks went absolutely mad and they were defending Kringe like a baby. I just don't know why do they love him so much. Yes he is raised in Dortmund and he signed a long term contract with bvb but ok...he is true dortmunder but we need a quality.

That is why I do not post at so many other forums and boards. They are full of "fan boys" and "fan girls" who don't want to discuss what is really wrong or right, but only want to praise and fantasize.
