We totally agree there. However, the thing is, if management didn't have their heads so far up their asses, they would know that a better ball-winner in midfield would ease the defensive problem.

But they can't think that far in front of their noses because they do have their heads up their asses, so they want to buy two central defenders.

Which is why they might wind up stupidly selling Sahin.

Arsenal interested in Turkish rising star in Germany
Dutch daily De Telegraaf reported that England's powerful Arsenal soccer team is interested in recruiting Nuri Sahin, now on loan to Feyenoord by Borussia Dortmund.

Sahin, a 19-year-old Turk, is owned by Borussia Dortmund, with whom he became the youngest ever Bundesliga player when he made his first-team debut back in August 2005.

Since then, the German-born midfielder risen to fame winning international recognition with the national team of Turkey.

At the moment he has a one-year rolling contract with BVB, with the German side having previously allegedly turned down a 3 million British pounds bid from Arsenal for the young star.

Newspapers report the value of Sahin is up and it could take 10 million pounds for Arsenal to transfer him.

so, that mean he leaving the club?

imo, he have future at BVB i think.

what is the club officials idea for him by your view (fans) ...

@

By the way, Nuri doing great at Toulon Cup... he scored nice goal vs USA.
Today they will play vs Ivery Coast. 1 point will take Turkey to the semi finale vs Chile match up.

Nuri played as a maestro at the field. glad to see that.

games will be at foxsport channel.

Goddamn those idiots will sell him for 10mio pounds! I'll kill them if they sell him.

I hope that this "rumor" about Arsenal and Sahin is bullshit.

It is bullshit. No one is making BVB any offers for Sahin. BVB management has already stated they are willing to let him go for a good offer. If Arsenal wanted Sahin, he would be gone already.

People who are in football know what Sahin really is. It's just a few of you who apparently don't watch what he's actually doing keeping up this "super-talent" myth.

I think he'll start next season with BVB. He'll probably be on the bench backing up Hajnal.

I hope Sahin can beat out Hajnal for the #10 spot. Hajnal will not just have that spot handed to him under Klopp. Hajnal may get handed the number ten, but not the position.

What will be unexpected, is that I think Lars Ricken will get another shot now that Doll is gone.

Most of you know I'm not a big Lars Ricken fan, but if he gets the shot and proves he can help the team, I'll welcome him back.

He will probably not beat out Hajnal or Sahin, but it should be an interesting battle.

I don't think Federico will even go for that position. He'll probably challenge Kringe and Kuba for the right midfield position or go for being the first backup striker off the bench.

Come on Keith. He has got the potential and with right guidance he could reach the stars.

He has shown his talent and he should upgrade it soon. =)

Do you know how many young "stars" have had the "potential to reach the stars" and never got off the f#cking ground?

Sahin will never be able to try to "reach the stars" in peace because of unrealistic fanboys like you who have these crazy expectations of him!

Why don't you guys just f#cking wait and see what the kid does?! He's not as good as many of you make him out to be just yet!

This is almost as bad as the Toni Kroos bullshit on the Bayern boards.

Yeah and you have Amedick. I have Sahin. You said that he could be a potential German national team player.

Adding to this Sahin has got a brighter future or he should have it. =)

I said he COULD be. I'm also REALISTIC about his chances.

You write about Sahin like he's f#cking second coming of Pele.

No he isn't but he is "Pele" to Kringe.:)

I'm saying that he should be the right guy for our midfield if he proves that of course.

Read your comments. You're saying a hell of a lot more than that.

Cris, Ricken thinks Doll dumped him to try to show people that Doll was not a "buddy type" to the players.

That might even be true. However, save for one good match in Cottbus, Ricken had not done jack shit to show that he deserved to be on the pro team in the past two or three years.

I hope Ricken can make it back too, but I'm not confident. Ricken has never worked hard a day in his f#cking life at BVB after that CL Final goal.

He got by on that goal and a couple of others for so long.......

Yeah, I know the history...I just don't want to waste our time wondering again if he is the player he should have, could have been. Dortmunder or not; I think his time with BvB is done. Give him a desk job or something like assistant to the assistant trainer of BvB II.

He's already got a contract guaranteeing him a spot in BVB's marketing department when he retires.

I'm pretty sure he'll be back with the amateurs next season.

Federico isn't even a central midfielder and was criticized the entire season, but he still put up better numbers than Ricken did in most seasons.

We'll have two better central midfielders than Federico next season. Ricken has no chance.
