Solano--Taylor--Bramble--Ramage
-------------Butt----------------
Milner-------Parker----------Zoggy
--------Dyer---------------------
-------------Martins-------------
Would be my choice with Luque,Siberski,Emre, Harper, and a reserve defender on the bench. I would like to see Luque for Dyer at about the 60th minute and Emre for Butt late on if we need to push for a goal.

1) I think he should be carded. He did this in almost every forum.
2) Just because his was first by 2 minutes, I still think mine should be at the top. I was the one busy getting all the game info. That douche was just posting a score.
Enjoy some neg rep, tool.
Thx,
Jay!

Antoine Sibierski’s second-half winner saw Newcastle end a 9-game winless streak in the Premiership with invigorating vim at St James’ Park. There were plenty of positives to take away from the game as Newcastle attacked with frightening pace throughout.
Anyone that saw the game care to comment? I'm very impressed with what I thought was our worst pickup. My apologies to Mr.Sibierski.

I'm very concerned about the injuries to Zoggy and Milner. Any news from you locals out there would be greatly appreciated.

Add Dyer and Parker to the injury list. :(

Why doesn't Sibierski start more often? Is he better after getting a look at the other squad for a half? Does he not have the stamina?
Honestly this is the first match in a while that I've been able to see and not have to follow via match tracker. I must say that the tenacity shownby Emre and Sibierski gives me some hope that our slump may end soon.

Sibi is becoming a Toon Legend at this rate...could he score goals that could possibly be more important?

Where's the massive celebrations, Magpies? This is a huge win.

This was a fun game to watch. Dyer has changed this team. When he had his crash, he was holding his hamstring, I gasped, upon further review he received a knarley gash and played strong until the end.
Sibierski is not a target man, but his willingness to do the yeoman's work is what we need. Very selfless player.
Martins looked dangerous all game, too bad he had goal taken away, he was not offsides.
Solano filled in admirably at right back. He wasn't challenged much at all, but his link up play and crosses are much better than carr.
Bramble is going through a pretty good stretch. Knock on wood.
Emre plays better with Butt. I don't know if their roles are defined as much with Parker and Emre together as it is when Emre/ Butt play together.

I wonder if we could keep Solano at RB until the transfer window opens up? Nobby combining with Milner down the right seems very potent in the attack and the DM could slid over to cover when Nobby's in an advanced postion.

Newcastle's Solano: I'm no right-back
tribalfooball.com - November 27, 2006
Despite his impressive showing against Portsmouth, Nobby Solano doesn't want Stephen Carr's job as Newcastle's right-back.
He said: "Stephen's a great player and I can't replace him.
"Sometimes you have to play in a different position because the squad isn't big enough. You have to give everything for the team.
"I was a right-back when I signed - I played there for Boca Juniors - but since I've been in England I've played higher up the pitch because of my passing, so I can create more chances.
"It's not easy at right-back, believe me, and I wouldn't like to play against people like Ronaldo and Robben!
"But I can do a job there because I played at right-back for a long time. I'm quite happy to help the team, and it was great to get a clean sheet.Shut it Solano, Carr is crap and you know it! You'll play right back and you'll effin like it you cheeky monkey you.
By the way did David James look in the mirror before he left for the stadium on Sunday? He looked like what I imagine Howard Zinn to looks like. No offense Zinn but not many people can rock your look. :D

Emre plays better with Butt. I don't know if their roles are defined as much with Parker and Emre together as it is when Emre/ Butt play together.
I think that when Parker and Emre are together, both players can go forward and both will go back on defense. It is much like Lampard and Gerrard together.
When Butt is in the game, Emre knows that he can go forward all the time and Butt will hang back and protect.
