Are there some things the supporters groups could do to improve tailgaiting? Are there folks who don't tailgate that would be more interested in swinging by if there was always a grill to use? Could we store a grill at the stadium? With the youth fields next door would we be able to have a pick up game before a match? Maybe something involving tassels?

C-Firm has been negotiating w/the RFO over buying us a grill and/or storing it, or---what I hope they will eventually decide to do---building us a permament grill. One stumbling block we weren't able to get around last year is that we couldn't charge money for food at the tailgate. We couldn't even have a "donation jar" near the food. That would be seen as us misrepresenting ourselves as a food vendor somehow.
Love the idea of us playing on the youth fields pregame, but I bet it won't be easy to make that happen. Even with 25 fields. :( But I'll look into it!

That would be epic. I'm already trying to price bulk orders of ribs.
Question, though...At the Donkey Shed, we were, um, blessed with a good amount of parking space most games. What's the setup likely to be for the (probably) smaller lot at Dick's? We'd have to come up with a place to convocate, obviously.

An area of the parking lot that is designated the Supporters tailgate area with a few built in grills would be awesome. People could bring what they want to grill, share beers. Perfect.

Does the creation of "the front range" make official that the FSL supporters be known as the "back range?"

I think the Rapids FO should set up an area for all three major supporters clubs to tailgate (FR, C-VI, C-Firm....are there others?). Then prospective members could wander by and depending on where they want to sit, join any or all.....I think it is important that all three provide a united front with the FO and demonstrate that we're all advocates of all the supporters groups.
They may wish to see how the supporter's tailgate area works out before they install grills/bench/etc permanently. I have not been up to the site, but I could see the Rapids Ticket Sales improved if the tailgating row was positioned so drivers on the major arteries could see what is going on. Oh, maybe a Port-a-Potty, too, Mr. Plush.

CVI is moving strong with tailgating plans - with the knowledge of the RFO. We're now talking to security - and should be able to announce our plans shortly.
We'd love it to be a combined effort with all other supporters - but that's out of our hands unfortunately.
The legal stance of tailgating from the front office is - there is none.
CVI's tailgating WILL be open to ANYONE however - CVI has MANY friends outside of section 108 and we sure hope everyone feels welcome to come - and know that you can!
