I've been watching Lost, South Park and Heroes. But now South Park is over and Lost has a break until February (wtf, why would any network deliberately choose to lose all their viewers for 3 months) I want to find something else to get in to. I'm in the UK but british TV is so bad that I usually get into US shows and download them through iTunes (or less honorable methods).

Any suggestions? I like sci-fi stuff like Heroes and X-Files but nothing too geeky like Battle Star Galactica or whatever generation Star Trek is at these days.

i've never watched Battlestar, but I don't think you'd be accurate in calling it 'geeky'
it seems to be pretty critically acclaimed. if you like sci-fi, you might want to give it a shot. i've heard nothing but good things.

I also don't think star trek has a series on right now.

Now that the Sopranos, Deadwood and Entourage are off the air I'm floundering in a sea of inane programming.

Refuse to miss:
Battlestar Galactica
Studio 60
Project Runway (when it's on)

Always try to watch:
South Park
Heroes (unenthusiastically)
X-Play

My favorite one hour shows are 24, Battlestar Galactica and Lost. I never miss them.

Occasionally I tune into CSI, Heroes, and the Sopranos when it's on.

For comedy, I alwas try to watch The Office, Scrubs, South Park, reruns of Arrested Development, and occasionally American Dad.

Tivo has increased the number of shows I watch. I don't watch them at the same time each week, but the shows I save to watch later are as follows:

CSI, Studio 60, Criminal Minds, Monk, the Dead Zone, Lost, Medium, Heroes, Jericho.

I think that's everything... probably not actually.

Oh... when TiVo grabs them, I also watch these:

The History Detectives, Dirty Jobs...

Besides sports (SF 49ers, SJ Sharks and GS Warriors nowadays, SF Giants during the summer), sports-related programming and the news, I've been watching new episodes of (in order of broadcast throughout the week):

Heroes
The Unit
My Name is Earl
The Office
30 Rock
Ugly Betty
Doctor Who
Battlestar Galactica
Saturday Night Live

I've also been watching new episodes of ESPN Classic's Cheap Seats (though the Series Finale just aired last Monday :( ) and The Top 5 Reasons You Can't Blame... (which has gone on hiatus until January).

I also watch whatever few new episodes of Mail Call that pops up now and again on The History Channel. I generally watch episodes of Sherlock Holmes Mysteries starring Jeremy Brett on The Biography Channel that I haven't seen yet, though it's been a while since they've shown a "new" one.

Survivor
Project Runway
Friday's episode of The News Hour
Monday's episode of the Fox Sports World Report

I watched the Amazing Race up until a week or two ago, but it started sucking, so I tossed it.

Law & Order: Criminal Intent and the original Law & Order are like crack for me. I hate myself for getting a fix, but I can't turn them off once they've started. SVU, on the other hand, sucks ass.

Used to watch The Wire and The Sopranos but haven't for a while.
