I have a copy of Zelda: Twilight Princess burning a hole on my mantle next to my TV. I wasn't able to get in on the preordering for the Nintendo Wii. Anyone know of any places in Houston with any in stock?

You could try freezing yourself and then having someone thaw you out in a few months when they're easy to get. :D
This came up as the thread listed under "Major League Soccer" on MyBigsoccer. I'll be going now.

My brother's friend hooked him up with one today. He's currently playing Zelda. :p He suggests trying Game Stop on Beechnut (where his friend works, thought he's not sure if they still have some), and he thinks he heard that the Best Buy on Richmond in the Galleria might be getting more in tomorrow. Good luck.

This won't be like the PS3. Check your usual suspects on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and they should get a decent amount in each week. Having said that, your best shot is probably Black Friday, first thing in the morning.

Yeah I'm just making calls to the local retailers each day. Was hoping to find "somebody that knows somebody" that works at one of the places and could hold one for me.

Now I've stood in line for some weird things in my life, but never for a game console. Much less to just throw it on the ground.

Im in NC visiting my brother at Ft Bragg and he got a Wii. It's fun :D Doesn't have Zelda but it does have this multi-sport game that came with it for free that's freakin awesome. He said he got it at Target, no problem. Granted, Fayetville is much smaller than Houston. I agree with someone else to check the usual suspects this week or next

Hopefully there's a correlation to Fayettville NC and Fayettville TX, as I'll be there and in Columbus area for Thanksgiving.

Here's hoping ('cept for the crazy military types and bad weather, it's great up here) it is indeed. The controller takes a while to get used to, tho. And my arm hurts from playing baseball and tennis :)

*under breath* i work at an EBGames, my store is getting 7 units on friday, they go on sale when the store opens at 7AM.
I have heard rumours that most EBGames and Gamestops will be recieving the same shipment. At the chain, there is no such thing as a waiting list for an already released product, so it is first come first serve at all locations. Though! employees have their own ways of making sure they get their own so expect only 3 to 4 units to be available.
If you really want one, find someone friendly who talks a lot at one of these stores, get them to confirm that Wii's are coming on friday, then camp your ass out in the morning.
I can not "reserve" one for anyone on this short of notice, sorries!

Two fruitless searches at the Columbus & La Grange Wal-Marts. The search continues...

I dunno why they are so freakin hard to find.....Nintendo said they'd send 4M out to the USA within a couple of weeks. You'd think part of that shipment would be arriving soon.
Here's what you do....find a hot gamer chick (http://www.yourdailymedia.com/i/u/npzwTD0e.jpg)who works at a Gamestop or something, start dating her, and when she tells you when the game comes, tell her to hold one and then viola!
