I'm sure the political boards has this already, but we've had enough Seinfeld threads here that I feel I can start one.

This is just hard to watch. I don't see him getting out of this alive.

I think what really would've made it funny is if some brother would've jumped on stage and whipped his ass.

Let me be the 204,568th person on the internet to say, what does Jackie Chiles have to say about this?

I didn't realize Kramer was still alive. Hmm. Crazy the things you can find on the internet.

I think it was Paul Rodriguez or george lopez (aren't the same person?) who said it best:
he's not a standup and doesn't know how to handle himself. of course, that's no excuse for the language. but a professional wouldn't have lost it like that, you would think.

It was Lopez. Rodriguez, who was also on that night, said something like he kept waiting for the punch line.

Simply amazing.

Kramer's tirade reminds me of Dave Chappelle's joke:

"Ever hear something so racist... you don't even get pissed off? You're just like... damn... that was racist"

that seemed to be a real, heartfelt apology. i mean, he's not that good of an actor.

It was big to go out and confront the situation, admit blame and ask forgiveness.

i read about this the other day, but didn't watch the video of it until just now. completely blown away by his tirade, and reading about it doesn't give you the full grip on it. on the other end, it's interesting to hear the guy richards was yelling at yell back, "you f**kin' cracker-ass motherf**ker!" i mean, if you're getting pissed off at someone being racist towards you, what does it accomplish if you're just as racist in your reply?

and what was the deal with people in letterman's audience laughing? some people are idiots.

The show is taped at like 5:30, maybe many of the audience came from work or were tourists who had been out all day being touristy. If you weren't on the internet or around people who were during the day, you had no idea what it was all about. My wife, for example, hadn't heard anything about it when I got home last night.

Many must have thought it was a stunt like from when Chris Elliott used to be on the show.

i suppose that's possible.

Yeah, Kramer clearly wasn't ready or willing. But Jerry's gotta sell those DVDs.

The only thing weirder than the "Afro-Americans" (and mildly disturbing) is his reference to "the blacks". He seems like someone who has very little contact with black people and thinks of them as simply those "others" he sees on TV.

Also, from Defamer (http://www.defamer.com/hollywood/michael-richards/michael-richards-learned-little-during-his-brief-time-playing-a-blind-afroamerican-216536.php):
