Richard Jolly reports:

It was even, entertaining, and even enthralling but ultimately inconclusive; the title decider showed Arsenal are in no mood to relinquish their grasp on it, while Manchester United are desperate to regain their crown.

Hehe...

Anyone else think that Henry was offside on this first goal? It's one of those that is never called if the shot goes straight in, but has to be called once it deflects off the player.

Oh well. This one, as well as the second one, missed, and Henry comes away with two goals.

He was no more than a mile offside.

Well played gentlemen.

The hand of AFC is extended to that of MUFC for a good match. Neither team backed down and it was a fair result.

May the best team win the title. :)

I couldn't agree more. Matches like that are what soccer is all about.

Wow! What a game. Some thoughts:

Gary Neville's days are numbered by the way Wes Brown and John O'Shea played on the flanks.

Roy Keane showed why he is so important to this team.. I don't think he came out second best on a single challenge.

Did anybody really miss David Beckham. The last time Sir Alex sat him down, he responded beautifully.

Scholes, Giggs, Ruud and Ole on the field at once looks really good. Why not try Beckham in the center in front of Keano?

Thank goodness for long lunch hours!

That is possible if Veron is not able to go vs. Real, but who knows what will happen.

Latest word is that Veron is looking good for the Real match...

Haha, reminds me of a scene in Shaolin Soccer. Has anyone seen it? It's a Hong Kong movie that has made quite a name around Asia and even across the world.

Unreal match...i was on edge watching the whole time and only got animated when Ruud schooled Sol Campbell and when Giggsy scored the equalizer.

It'll be interesting to see how the red card to Sol plays out. I'll bet his suspension gets reduced to about a game.

MUFC still has mad work to do but they survived the biggest away match of the season, overcoming a clearly blown offside call while Beckham didn't get off the bench and JSV not even making the trip.

Until Saturday...

great game that had everything: goals, controversy, passion.
not a bad result for Utd who are still 3 pts ahead.
RVN looked great today and is getting better, if that's possible.

And we could use him to win Europe.

Good tie against Arse. We're still 3 up and really put the extra pressure on them. They have a game in hand but the pressure is on them to win.

So is Campbell elligble for the 'boro match? I really hope not. Middlesbrough have a great home record and playing well lately. They can beat Arsenal. And Arsenal not having SC playing will make their job that much more difficult.

Plus Vieira's injury problems...

Kids, don't forget about Blackburn on Saturday.

Won 5 of their last 6.

Sukur and Cole are starting to click.

Weapons in the midfield like Tugay, Duff, and Dunn.

Beat United at Ewood.

Beat Arsenal twice this season.

And lastly, a long-armed, bald American in goal.

Be afraid. Be very, very afraid.

Oh yeah, I'm sure we are all aware of the type of run-in we have.... at least we are at home for this one.

Arsenal cannot really complain about the sending off as they got an offside goal. The important point about the sending off is that the referee probably did not have a clear view of the elbow and sent to the assistant referee on the touch line who told him it was a deliberate elbow. Red card.
Campbell is done for 3 game I think.
Even tough Arsenal have a game in hand, we are better off because we already have the points in the bag meaning that game in hand, Arsenal have to win.

Wes Brown is MUCH better on the outside than in the middle. I doubt O'Shea will sit again unless hurt. Agree about Keane but Beckham is a winger, his great crosses are hard to duplicate--so sell him to Real Madrid and get a major playmaker
