Did anybody see Freddy Adu today?

Hopefully he didn't play because I was planning on catching the USMNT u17s tomorrow and I assume they wouldn't play the same players two days in a row. Or would they?

It depends on how serious they are taking the Dallas Cup. My guess is he will play.

They should be playing the same players...why else show up if not for some practice with your starting team?

I went to the game today!

Adu played most of the game but they had to sub for him because of injury (it did not look serious though).

This guy has a lot of skill but he needs to understand that he can't show off on every play because the opponents will make him pay. What's more, my beloved Chivas could have won the game on the second half and #10 Marcos Parra stole the show as he was tearing down the US defense in the final minutes.

Great game overall. The stadium was packed, the football lines were covered (hint, hint) and the kids on the field gave us one hell of a game. I enjoyed this game a lot and to tell you the truth it was more fun than the Burn on Saturday.

Final score: USA 2 - Chivas 2

PS for Burn Management: Could you please move the games over to Lake Highlands Stadium? :)

I have a couple of question about the Dallas cup...

Are there different age groups? Is there an "official" web site?

The reason I'm asking is that Hartlepool United's U-15s are taking part...I believe they drew their first game 0-0 with Solar SC. Any information will be appreciated.

Thanks,

-Richard

A large crowd was on hand to see Freddy today, but alas his manager didn't cooperate.

Nevertheless, we got to see the u17s dismantle a Canadian club, which was put into the Super Group at the last moment. The first goal was awfully like RoBs goal last Saturday.

It's called being 13. As he gets older he'll realize that you don't have to wow the crowd with every play. For now he is just having fun out there, which is the way it should be when you are 13.
