We really need to pick up some points and get back up the table, and sooner rather than later. Hopefully that starts today.
It looks like Savage will return today, so that should prove to be a boost.

holy shit! After the ball gets knocked around in the box a couple of times, it floats out to Tugay, who in turn volleys it in from 25 yards out.
Goal of the year candidate...easy.

Horrible call as Tottenham is awarded a penalty and Tugay is sent off for supposedly bringing Ghaly down in the box as the last defender, but the replay showed that he made minimal contact. Awful decision.

just got back from the game and just to say how utterly disappointed i am not to get 3 points after being in total controll of the game and the ref gives a penalty like that an to top it of we should of had a penalty at the other end after mido clearly handled the ball. i think the ref just got what he diserved after chants of your not fit and your to fat to ref.just a point on micheal gray he had a suberb game today and fully deserved his man of the match award

We were by far the better team. I guess that's the only encouragement we can take from this one.
On Tugay - it was his trailing leg that caught the guy. Hardly a cardinal sin, but he was the last man, and it was a goal-scoring opportunity, so I can see where the referee is coming from.....but still, what a knobhead!

Tugay... still better than Ooijer.

haha SMUPlayer...will there be anything Ooijer can do to gain your trust? I agree he's not nearly a solid rock back there but he's coming on.
What is it going to take for you to become an Ooijer fan?

The world. I need him to stand up a couple of strikers, start playing with some enthusiasm, score a goal, and kick Gamst in the butt. In other words, start playing like Nelson.
Really, I'll just take him not being a seive in the back. Mark your man, make sure he doesn't get the ball, and if he does, get your body in the way of the shot. Also, put a couple of games together that he plays well; then put two more; then two more, etc. You get the idea. It's all basics, but you'd think it was rocket science to him.
Good news. The Blackburn game is on FSC this weekend. I am stoked that I get to watch Ooijer... I mean our team take on Fulham.

yes the game's on FSC and I can't wait. The only problem is that it's on a tape delay so I can't watch the scoreline that they scroll on the bottom of the screen....
We'll all watch Ooijer and compare notes. I'd say he's coming on, but I'm still not the most confident in him.
The game this Saturday will test him, as it looks like Zurab will be out, so Henchoz or Todd will be his partner for the game....Scary thought indeed...
