Villain: Wayne Rooney. Why? Because of people like Jasper, Sirmanchester and others who see him do no wrong. He can have a shit game, and if he tackles back, thats still good enough for everyone else. He dives, and no one ever sees it. He makes horrible decisions, and he's shit in Europe. His petulent side is another reason. If it were a female who stepped on another mans balls, then yea, but come on dude, your nor a female. He punches ppl in the head, but its never an issue.
On the skill side of his game, its good, but honestly, he's just bullish on the pitch with good, not great technique. Players like Messi, and Ronaldo who dont have his physical gifts appeal a bit more to me. He has a hammer shot, but doesnt know when to use it.
Im grateful for the times he has won us matches and such though.

Very personal thread this. For once, we have a thread where your word is absolute. Your view is your view and as I'm asking for your personal feelings on this or that player who holds a special place in your heart, feel free eulogize of demonize as much as you want to do.

So, you're attempt to stay out of trouble includes attacking a United player, and then reporting a post that you knew was coming because of it....

Benni.
Your assault on Rooney is an obvious attempt to get a reaction from fellow posters, and it worked. Your punishment is to except the insults that come your way, and beg for forgiveness.
If your to proud however, pretend your clinically insane.

Benni, why take a shot at Rooney when the real villians for you are Jasper, SirManc, et al. Certainly you are entitled to express any opinion, but this thread was supposed to be about hero and villian United players, not hero and villian BS posters.
After showing so much maturity lately, why undermine all that with this recent display? You're better than that.

That will do for now and I could probably add a few more too but they'd be honourbale mentions rather than true heroes. I'll leave the villains part alone for now and may come back to it at a later date even though I'm struggling to think of many off the top of my head that I could include in that category. There are some players who I have liked less than others whom I am indifferent about and some who have done the odd very minor thing that hasn't gone down too well but there are very few, if any, that I could honestly class a villain in my mind. Besides, I'm fecked and can't be bothered typing anymore.
The gallaery screams.
MORE, MORE!

Could people please stop spamming this thread. Contribute something meaningful...like your own list...for example.
benni is entitled to his opinion, although I agree with VR - your 'beef' with Rooney seems misplaced, benni - your blamiing him for the consensus others chose to give him.
But still, benni's views are his own. I don;t see the need to lay into him for it. There's plenty of other threads for piss-taking.

I wish I could say I'm surprised.
It's hilarious how I'm still associated with defending Rooney and claiming he never did anything wrong. It's like my post-match posts for the past three to four months never existed.

Villain: Wayne Rooney.
Don't want to beat a dead Shrek, but...
Rooney as a villain?
Don't see it.

Ill give a more reasonable reason... I hate his petulant side. I dont like how he plays in Europe even though at the moment it just seems a temporary thing atleast imo. People like to say he is targeted, but there have been numerous incidents in whichhe got off easy. For instance, against Spain he pushed Casillas over the barriers. Against Northern Ireland, he jumped up for a 50/50 challenge and ended up punching or attempting to punch that player in the head, then he refused to calm down and listen to his captain. Then for stepping on somone balls.
Its nothing to do with his overall play as he's been great in England. But in Europe, he's been a disappoinment. Wether he's been played out of position or not, I expect a lot more from him.

He's an engine for United in the EPL, no doubt. And he is a "hero" for that. There are games where he is absolutely brilliant, and is the only person giving his all for us. But at the same time, no United fan can honestly say he's come good in Europe. 3 goals in more than 2 years, and those all coming in 1 game against Fenerbahce, lowly opposition IMO? He has to earn his stripes out there, especially considering we had a guy like Ruud who damn near scored in every UEFA game.
I do believe Rooney will come good in Europe though, and there is no way I can call him a villain.

yeah man u is ahead of the game although barc is the team to beat..or should i say.."renaldinho" is the player to watch...
another question to the forum
is it me or is renaldinho the best player in the world at the moment?...all his passes are precise..his creativity is outrageous and his goal scoring ability is abnormal?..i also watched the renaldino from man u last weekend..and seen him juggle over 3 people from the middle of the field to the 18....doesnt chelsea play barcelona this weekend?
