He runs everything! pulls all strings and has excellent support with Davis.

He is Quality.

Last few weeks i think he has been the best central midfield player in the prem.

pure class.

i was gutted when we moved him on. when we sold carrick to man u, it was the absence of mendes that galled me most. spurs have made more than a few daft transfers over the last 10 years (most of them purchases), but his sale is the one that i've had the hardest time getting over.

good - though not in the least surprising - to see pedro doing well.

He should be on ntl team along with Fernandes( once he regains his form).

They form an amazing duo in the centre.

I thought spurs where aimig to be british, was it not a policy of thiers? now they have gone all wrong, they do make some crazy signings leki Malbranque, you don't need him, just play routledge.

i don't think it was a policy to be british, i think it was a part of the overall strategy to keep young british talent on the radar, and make it a part of our development when we think young british talent is ripe for picking. i certainly don't think we moved mendes as part of an 'anglification' of the club. jol just rated carrick higher, that's all - and he ended up wanting away.

routledge just hasn't worked out. he was injured early in his tenure with us, and, frankly, hasn't looked a world-beater during his loan spells. lennon is going to play, and preferably on the right. i'm not sure that malbranque is the answer, but if it's not, than we just don't have one yet. mr jol just doesn't appear convinced by routledge on the right and lennon on the left. i wouldn't mind trying it out, but i can't say that i'm convinced that it's 'the answer', either.

without singling out the purchase of steed malbranque, there's no denying that martin jol likes buying more midfielders than he can use - even with our clogged fixture list. that sure worked out well for pompey, though, as davis and mendes are quality, even though they weren't getting any minutes at the lane.

you prove excellent points i think that british players are the key, one language in the camp. All your best players are english.

Robo
Dawson
King
Tom huddletogether
(was Carrick, why did you sell him) Now murphy (why did you but him, Silly spurs)
Defoe
lennon ( the best buy in the world ever, £1mllion, Get real!!!, cheated leeds)
Jenas
and keane

thats 9 players would all have a shout for the first team thats pretty british to me, look at united they like britain.
