Just wondering.

I'm also thinking I should start taking bets on how long until this forum gets 100 threads.

Because I asked for it. And because it is something that has been lacking on this board.

Should get the threads from the Buildings Draft we had a while ago moved in here from Food and Travel. That's a pretty useful repository for an architecture forum - over 200 buildings with pictures, most of them with detailed descriptions.

Wow. This would have been a great forum to have when we did our building/bridge/etc. draft.

I'm glad it's here. I think it was necessary. I've had to put posts on these topics in wrong forums before.

Perhaps, since this is art, we can cover some other arts... like live theater.

I never have any clue where to talk about live theater!

BTW... howzabout that art draft now to celebrate the opening of this forum?

Great idea. I'm happy to help organise, and would follow closely. I'd love to participate, but I fear my appreciation of art is too narrow. Same for judging - I'd automatically blacklist anyone who picked a Jackson Pollock. :p

BTW... Mod, can we get this thread's title officially changed to the one I switched it to above?

I'd be up for an artists draft. Would we limit the mediums or would anyone that's considered an 'artist' be up for grabs? (Performance/installation/painting/photo/ etc.)

I think you'd have to limit the mediums slightly. Otherwise you'd have people picking architecture and stuff, which hardly seems fair.

I'm up for a draft and I say restrict it to painting, sculpture, and photograph, mainly because those can be evidenced by posting pics.

I'm all for it. If you want to be the draftmaster Caesar, go to it.

And I agree. Lets stay withing the fixed visual arts
