Phil and Tony reack in shock and horror at the news that Dowie has been asked the leave The Valley. HE'S NOT THAT RUBBISH. There's also the latest instalment of the Heart Opera du Soap, plus a preview of the internationals this midweek.
No show on Tuesday night - nowt happening really - so we'll be back on Wednesday.

I dunno Phil and Tony... I don't think I like the rock music in the background, it was much calmer when it was just you 2 talking. The music kind of distracts me. Other than that, top quality stuff from you guys again! The podcast continues to be a staple of my day, and it always gives me a good laugh.

I think the music may have been a little distracting in this podcast but once they get the hang of all their new fancy equipment it will blend in nicely. I just wanted to say that I have a buddy that's from Dumfries, Scotland and he's always talking about the SPL and I never really had anything to say but thanx to Tony and his encyclopedic knowledge of Scottish football I now sound like I know what I'm talking about.
Another great podcast guys, I don't know what I'm gonna do tomorrow morning without a show but I'm sure I'll get by.

It's probably worth me pasting in my response to an email I got from a listener saying essentially the same thing as dfDave.
======================
I appreciate the feedback. There's a couple of mitigating factors - (1) I won't make a habit of turning up the music - that gets old, fast, and (2) I'm still experimenting with the volume and also compensating for a missing piece of kit with a bit of audio processing that made the music louder than it normally will be. So, I hope the background music is a little less intrusive in future shows (I should have the elusive part some time next week).
I have had comments that the show is a little 'sleepy' at times and that me and Tony don't sound very enthusiastic. That's partially down to the fact that we both have full-time jobs and full-time families and by the time we record, well, we're a little sleepy at times. So, the idea of the music was to fire things up a bit - actually fire us up but also make it sound more lively even when we're not.
I certainly thought we were on better form last night...whether it was the music or the vast array of material that Hearts and Charlton handed us, I don't know.
Also, as we don't record in a studio, there is a fair amount of background noise. It'll get worse in the winter as I'm by my furnace! So the music covers the background hum. Hopefully.
Anyway, let me know what you think in a couple of weeks.

I think it was just the changing of volumes that threw me off... it was all fine after that. It's a good idea once everything gets sorted out and working. Can't wait for the next show. Cheers :)
