I watch the 4-0 Liverpool game last night on the YES network which had the MUTV recording of the game and I must say I thought the picture quality was much better than on FSW. I know certain channels scramble and then descramble signals especially when the game is live. Much clearer...anyone else notice this?

Manchester United signed a deal with the New York Yankees to show football games in the states. I don't know if the deal involves MUTV showing baseball though . . .

Actualy Man U and the Yankees have a long term agrement to show each others games across the Atlantic, not only that but to promote and sell merchandise. I am not sure to every little detail but it is comprehensive. Unfortunately the games are like a few years old.

I'd love to get ESPN Classic Canada - they show old matches. Like the FA Cup Final from 1977 and stuff. Truly a tragedy that we get "Instant Classics" on our ESPN Classic that show NCAA College Basketball games from last month...

YES usually shows the weekend league game the following Wednesday or Thursday night, followed by MUTV news.

There has been no Manchester United merchandising at Yankee Stadium last year or this year thus far...

the MUTV picture stinks compaired to the usual picteres here in the uk. MUTV is covered in Mpeg artifacts from over compression.

Were used to seeing the higher res Widescreen Broadcasts on Sky Sports.

I can't compare the broadcasts on YES, as I've never seen them, but the Sky boradcasts in England piss all over the Fox Sports World and ESPN broadcasts here in the states.

Although, American sports and the MLS are now starting to be available in glorious HDTV, and that kicks serious butt.

I dont think the picture on the YES net is that great. On top of that I cant understand a word the color commentator (cant remember his name) says lol. Very think accent and the sound is somewhat muffled. At least we get to actually watch the matches though.

How can you not know one of United's all time greats, Pat Crerand? Scottish by the way (to explain the accent)
