This could be worse. Dick's could've purchased the team, ala Red Bull & New York...

I don't know, Dan......unless it's the idea of the Rapids' actually needing a stadium. Something like the Rapids' attendence is so low you could fit 'em in a phone booth. Other than that, nothing really pops out......nothing you could grab hold of.......

All jokes aside the deal sounds pretty sweet for the Rapids and MLS. hopefully they won't use the Dick's name anywhere other than on banners and billboards and give the stadium a proper name. soccer gets laughed at enough as it is in this country, the last thing we need is Dick's Stadium in Denver.

Too bad the "KC Wiz" are more, it would have been a natural rivalry.

I don't see any problem that. Queens Park Rangers is a venerable English team. Now, along with the new uniforms, the team can henceforth be known as Dicks Park Rapids.
