Had a 4 pack thes weekend. Enjoyed them very much. Smooth and creamy.

Have you ever had "Straub"? From PA too. Very good.

nothing can, nor ever will, better a properly poured pint of guinness.

but since most of the guinness you get in indiana is ice-cold, watery, bitter-tasting rot, my most frequently ordered pull is, i suppose, harp lager.

What do you have against Lager? If you can find it, Augustiner Edolstoff is lovely stuff and the best beer in Munich. After years of searching, I found a place in NYC that has it.

Boddington's is always in my fridge. Also have been getting Weisenstephan - supposedly the oldest running brewery in the world (from like 1060) in Germany. It's a good german pilsner - a lot like some of the better Czech stuff - but it's fairly hard to find.

Weisenstephan Pilsener? They are more famous for their weissbier. North Germany produces the best pilsener and South Germany is known for their wheat beer and lager.

Gritty's from Maine is one of my personal fav's.

Best part is that the brewery and pub (in Portland Me) is owned by a huge Spurs fan. Real nice guy.

Nothing..Lager away. Good stuff.

Guinness is great pooker...remember one of the last times you came down to visit and we went to "Sherlock Holmes Pub"? And I pussed out of my Guinness...sometimes I can't drink it...sad ain't it?
I have no idea what it is but I can tell from one sip if I'm gonna be able to drink one or not. That night was not a Guinness night. But Bass Ale filled in nicely.

Yeah, sorry.
We went to college(university for you Englishters) together. Known each other for about 24 years now. Stood up with me at my wedding. (insert snide pookspur comment about how many people were in my wedding and who he had to walk down the aisle with. Even though after 15 yrs of marriage we both know he got the better end of the deal!!). And if you've read my "IvanIV's Family Footy" thread, you'll know that I've even named one of my children after him. Luckily, the tyke given his namesake is actually a very talented futboller!;)

Never had their weissbier, just the pilsner and the dunkel. I'm sure (from the two I've had) that all of them are good, though!

Give it a try!

Here is another beer I discovered recently.

Reisdorf Kolsh.

Cologne's unique cousin of pilsener.

I was about to start a beer thread, and noticed this one so instead I'll just give it a bump.

What's everyone drinking during the summer months?

So far it's been Sam Adams Summer and Harpoon Summer, but I had a Cambridge Brewery Pale Ale the other day that was awsome. (Not sure if there are any other Bostonians on the Spurs board, but if there are you should try it).

Fuller's London Pride is a top beer. Most of their other beers are good as well.

Well's Banana Bread Beer is also very nice and different.

I'm sure you can't wait to have the taste of Sol in your mouth.
